pocket carry - front or rear

Front left, my back pockets are too small on almost all my pants. If I carry my revolver in the back, part of the grip pops up to say hello.:)

I notice several people from the south (FL and NC for two) post that they pocket carry holsterless. I want to make sure you guys know you can't cross the Ga line like that. Pocket carry without a holster is now illegal in Ga.

If you pocket carry WITHOUT A HOLSTER you have a BAD ACCIDENT wating to happen .Your booger hooker could find the bang switch by accident in a stressful moment.

I carry my P32 in my left front pocket in a DeSantis pocket holster as a backup. I carry my CCW, either a PF9 or SA 1911A1, on my right side either IWB or OWB. I used to carry the P32 in the right front since I'm right handed then I read an article about a LEO taking a round in his right arm which disabled it and he could use his main weapon nor access his back up since it was also on the right side.

Front pocket with an Uncle Mike's hoslter. I prefer using a high noon IWB, but for those moments where I'm just dashing out, the front pocket will usually do.

Strong side front pocket... Here's why.

1) Allows me to maintain a grip on the gun without drawing any attention to myself or telegraphing my intentions... ie a tactical advantage

2) Much better retention than a back pocket. Bad enough for a pick-pocket to get your wallet, but your gun...

3) Makes for more comfortable sitting than when in a back pocket.

4) Makes for less serious injuries when slipping and landing on your rump.

Ruger LCP in a DeSantis Nemesis holster in front pocket all the time.

Right front pocket, IN A HOLSTER! Even though nothing else goes into that pocket, the trigger must be covered (Murphy is a pickpocket).

For me, sitting on my gun hurts.:p

Not enough pockets.
Guess I'll need to switch my cell phone (typical left pocket) to a belt clip, keys & change from right pocket to the left.
Such complications of life.

I carry in strong side front. I had never considered rear pocket untill one day while at work. I was selling cars at the time and showing a customer a van. When he bent over to pull the seat out I noticed his Keltec in his rear pocket. I sorta laughed. Of course I didnt feel comfortable mentioning it but It almost looked like a skoal ring.

I don't yet have a permit for my LCP, but when I do I am going to check into a holster like I use for my Blackberry, either horizontal or vertical (I'll check out both) and probablyi with a snap shut or velcro flap. It will look like a pager, Blackberry or cell phone and won't have to be in my pocket at all.

That is very true but it is also true that you could be struck by lightning.
I'll bet I can find more documented cases of people struck by lightning then you can of people shot while carrying in a pocket with no holster.
Keep your finger off the trigger & it won't go BANG!
