PMC ammo...any good?

How is PMC compared to Remingtons UMC?[/quote]

UMC (the yellow box) appears (strongly appears) to have been the cause of kB'ed handguns in a variety of calibers (and we are not just talking about the "unsupported Glocks). Do a deja search of rec.guns for the past couple of years. I can't imagine why the UMC stuff is so variable, but it is, and I would advise avoiding it.

I never had problems with PMC. That is, two or three cartridges that
didn't go bang the first time, but this rather seems to be a problem
with the USP series of pistols or hard primers, but then it's spread
across all factory ammo I shoot.

Their .223 ammo is very nice, my AUG likes it. Don't expect
sniper-grade accuracy from it, though.

Recently shot through 4 boxes of 9x19 PMC. Of that had about 3 rnds. that failed to go bang on the first strike with a Sig 228. I now prefer to practice with Winchesters.

I go through a case of 115gr TMJ PMC every other month and have done so for years. No complaints from me. I get it for $130.00 a case, it goes bang every time in my G17 and G19. I don't find it excessively dirty. Show me a better deal.

I don't think there is one, or if there is I haven't found it. That's why I shoot alot of it, even with my mild beefs about it being underpowered (based on comparative chrono readings).

I didn't have any trouble with it but I thought it was real dirty. Made clean up more of a chore and since I don't want to work that hard, I won't use it anymore.
