Pistol slide Lube?

slide care

i'll second that Gun Butter, been using it for about three years and stuff really stays put, best part is u use so little of it

I found some Miltec1 @$15.00 a bottle, was reading the instructions and it said to heat up the area, do you have to do this? Did buy some Eezox for Guns and 1 for Knife. Boy do they stink.

In another thread ( Press ram sticky ) I recently asked if anyone used molybdenum disulfide to lube their press. Didn’t get any answers, but this thread here prompted me to look for Dri Slide. Sure ‘nuf, this stuff is recommended for presses, as well as slides and a wide range of other applications. I have a small bottle of straight molybdenum disulfide that I thought about trying, but with Dri Slide’s added corrosion inhibitors, maybe I’ll buy some of it.

First google hit

Dri Slide

Militech beat EVERYBODY else, hands down in actual testing and while originally was available only to SPECOPS in Iraq, is now used by everybody !

Great Stuff...solves problems !
Thanks for the link oldcspsarge, impressive lubricant and story behind it on that site. It bonds to the metal when heated up, and becomes dry. They say to heat the firearm to no more than 150° to make this happen (if you don't plan to fire it right away). I wonder how this will work on safe queens.

Aside from that, interesting note on that site is that they provide their lube for FREE to military serving in the wars. If you know someone over there who needs it, just click on the link and they will arrange to provide it for them. Pretty cool, got a couple buds over there...

A quart of Mobil 1 will last longer than you will, and does the same thing as the "specialized gun lubes". Don't waste money on snake oil.
