I have the Kel-Tec Sub2000 chambered in 9mm. I like the fact it folds up and uses same mags as pistols. Its fun to shoot. Not crazy about the sights, but if you get the scope as you mentioned then I think you'd have a great addition to your bug out bag. Also, the Kel tec can be tricked out any way you like just Google it on the web and see what others have done with theirs. Only other thing I'd keep in mind is when you clean the sub2k, have a wooden dowel handy because sooner or later you'll release the hammer and good luck getting the bolt group back in with out a little coaxing. ;)

"the ONLY thing about the S2K is that i cant put my scope on it."

There are folding mount and scopes for the sub2k! Can be bought I'm sure I saw them somewhere online, but I've also seen where some folks build their own folding mounts. A good quallity door hinge will work.

I have a sub 2000 in 40 caliber Beretta magazine. I bought it for one reason.... IT FOLDS! I keep it in a laptop case. I put a small laser on it. There is nothing wrong with it. It is a good rifle. Compared to a handgun, it is a tack driver, increasing the usable range of the .40 caliber round. It is the ugliest firearm I own, but I 'm glad I have it. It did not cost a lot. It folds compactly.

i think due to the good reviews of the keltec (not any bad ones) i'll be getting it first and sticking with the stock sights. when the money comes i'll get the beretta. to have a folding sub2k, a cx4 with a reddot, and a 92fs that all take the same mags and ammo would be pretty sweet. one for the wife and one for my daughter and the 92 and my .45 for me. any recs on a bag/case for the subbie ? needs to be big enough for the 92, sub2k, and some factory beretta 20 rounders. say 5 of them?

The case I use is a black aluminum hard case for a laptop that I came across used. I don't know the brand. The sub-2000 fits in at an angle, since the case is not quite as wide as the folded sub-2000 is long. The lid has closeable pockets inside that conveniently hold several magazines. It would also hold a 92fs and a few boxes of ammo.

i definitly like the idea of a hard case. is it heavy? the link from the above post led me to a lot of possibilities. the best was 17.1 inches long. from the KT websight it should fit with room to spare for other items, right? i like this:
