Piers Morgan show getting canceled

Do not make the mistake of supposing that he represents his countrymen as a whole. I lived there for a quarter century and know otherwise - although I'll say that I did meet a few like him over the years.

If he returns to the old country he'll have a lot of explaining to do. That will be interesting to watch.

I only watched once or twice, but I can certainly understand why he's looking for work .. he's entitled to his opinion; I think people stopped watching because he was a rotten interviewer. He constantly interrupted his guests, especially those on the pro-gun side, spoke over them, badgered them and was generally so obnoxious it was impossible to listen to him. The fact that only a handful of people watched him on a major "news" network speaks volumes about his style and talent, both in short supply. RIP

Apparently he, Mr Morgan, is in discussion with CNN about future projects. Wonder where this is going to lead to... Dish washing in the CNN canteen, perhaps?

Interestingly enough, his show is still running (and it's called the "Piers Morgan Show"), but it's had a different host the last few nights.

He's still working with CNN at the moment, and apparently Mr Morgan and CNN are in talks about working together in future. I don't believe this is the end of Piers Morgan in the U.S. Not by a long stretch.

He signed off on his last episode tonight, and he didn't spare the melodrama.

But that’s where guns belong – on a military battlefield, in the hands of highly trained men and women fighting for democracy and freedom. Not in the hands of civilians. The scourge of gun violence is a disease that now infects every aspect of American life.

At least he finally came out and said it.

The gun lobby in America, led by the NRA, has bullied this nation’s politicians into cowardly, supine silence. Even when 20 young children are blown away in their classrooms.

I'd respond that we did no such thing. We opposed broken and ineffective regulations that, by the admission of the people promoting them, would have done nothing to stop another mass shooting.

Ah, but why bother. He's going back across the Atlantic, and he can be their problem.

I saw that.......What a doosh.

Still, gotta give him credit, he was still fighting as his ship was going to the bottom.

He can go back to hacking the phones of dead child victims of violence for a tabloid.

No loss.

Wonder how he would do if he was riding a horse next to Churchill in Africa way back when. Would he actually use a semi-auto pistol like Winston?

He thought his anti gun rants would strike a chord, and get ratings. They didn't. They probably did the opposite even though many of CNN viewers may have the same opinions.

He gambled, and lost, and now can go do something else, if he can find a job. Maybe in England, or Europe where he can complain about "those crazy Americans" and their guns.

I wish they had kept him. As annoying, rude, pompous, and idiotic as he is, when he is arguing for the other side, it actually helps ours.

In that interview with Larry Pratt, he looked like a hysterical drama queen resorting to name calling because he was unable to come up with an intelligent argument, while Pratt remained cool, dignified, and thoughtful. If anybody thinks that episode helped the anti movement in any way, they are mistaken! Leave him on. He makes us look good.

Send him to Russia

Hopefully he won't be back to England as he's a total tosser .are gun laws are bad enough without him spouting utter rubbish .since our hand gun ban came in our crime has risen loads

Send him to Russia

No, send him to the Ukrain so he can preach to the Ukranians how much better off they are with their uber-restrictive gun laws, now that the Russians are stomping across their borders:

The Ukrainian Gun Owners Association, now 5 years old, is taking advantage of the current political climate’s uncertainty to push forward legislation that would amend the country’s Constitution to include something like America’s Second Amendment and expand existing gun laws to allow concealed carry of handguns.

Gun laws now in Ukraine are restrictive: Handguns are completely banned for the average citizen; only law enforcement and journalists can purchase certain handguns with a license. Licenses to own rifles and shotguns may also be obtained with good reason, like target shooting or hunting.

True but as handguns were only allowed for target shooting in most of the UK I don't think the ban made a difference one way or another. If they were allowed for self defense then I could see it making a difference. As for Morgan he is fine where he is thank you.
