It balances perfectly ! Shoots like a dream. The trigger is 5 way adjustable. Target sights. The anatomical grip need slight fitting to my hand. They came a little large on purpose. The pistol is rough looking, the Russians make a great pistol but don't sweat the details. Some of the parkerizing gets into the frame rails and such. Once you shoot a few hundred rounds it's as smooth as a S&W mod 41. The sights sit low to the bore and by design, the bore is low in your hand so the shot feels like a push without much flip. I shoot indoor 50' slowfire bullseye, and took second place overall averaging 240 / 300. Make sure to loc tite the shroud screws as they tend to work loose. Don't pay more than $400 for one. This is a link to a good summary of what to expect if you buy a Baikal IZH-35M New Owner Report

Except for the caliber, which we can argue all day, this may be, at least for me, the perfect carry gun.

Speaking of tactical. Here's a yesteryear tactical of sorts since I had the safe open and the camera out.
