Ok picture takers, time to get out those cameras. I want to see pics of your favorite pistol (revolver or auto) and your favorite knife. Put a description of the gun with the mods that has been done and tell us about the knife too.

I'll play.......

Here is mine.

I am a big fan of the movie 3:10 to Yuma, so this is my version of the gun.
.357 mag Beretta Stampede with Ajax grips and I inlayed the cross with a little time and my Dremel tool. The knife is hand made by a man in KY. The handles are giraffe bone handles.

Here's my entry:

H&K USP 45 and two knives of my making.
You already know about the USP so I'll elaborate on the knives a bit. I carry and use both nearly equally because they are both favorites and it was hard to choose just one for the pic.

Handle scales on both are Cocobolo.
Both are full tang, edge quenched 1084 steel full height ground and given a slight convex grind at the edge. The wavy lines you see on the blades are the hamon or hardening line, also known as the tempering line. This method of hardening is similar to the way the Japanese makers harden their swords and knives. It's accomplished by heating the whole blade until it no longer attracts a magnet then quenching just the edge into warm oil. Temper the whole bladefor three hours at 325 degrees in the oven and it's good.
Unfortunately, the worst sheath stitching I've ever managed to muck up is glaringly evident in the bottom sheath. :barf: My sheath making is vastly improved. Guess I should have thought about that before getting what for me is the money shot.

And, of course, please excuse the crappy pic. Photography is not a strong point for me.

This is a picture I took utilizing some old trick photography from highschool after I bought my new camera. The knife is a pearl handled balisong (butterfly) and the gun is a Fabrique National Herstal FNP-40 (.40 S&W) w/ night sights.

Thanks for looking

Sorry for the pic, I shoot lot better with the .44 than the camera. The folding knife is a double lock Desert Cruiser Special Forces. The grip on it feels great and the edge and double lock is awesome.

hardhit: where could I get that sticker? Is it as tough as it looks?

Here's my everyday carry combo -- it's not my favorite handgun but it's my preferred one to carry (S&W mod. 38 Bodyguard w/ Eagle Secret Service grips and "white-out" on the front sight). While the knife is my favorite (an older Wilson Tactical Combat Elite that was sent back for a tune-up, serrations, & low riding pocket clip).

My (favorite) daily "out-and-about" combo. A very-well-loved-and-it-shows Sig P6 and five year old Cold Steel Tri-Lite that still has its pristine factory edge.
