NICE 1911 DSK!

THAT 1911 IS REAL NICE DSK. THE FINISH IS WHAT COLT USED TO REFER TO "OVEN BLUING". TAR OIL, CARCOL AND HEAT TEMPERED THE METAL. THE SMALL PARTS ARE DONE IN A SMALL POT. THE SCREWS ARE "FIRE BLUED". PUT ON AT 700 DEGREES, THESE FINISHES ARE BETTER THEN THE CURRENT FIVE STEP "DU-LITE" WHICH IS NEITHER DURABLE OR BEAUTIFUL. THAT WAS THE GOLDEN AGE OF GUNMAKING!
