Picatinney rail peening..

I thought it could be aluminum, since it was deformed. They must have used a soft aluminum alloy, which would be the cheaper of the several used.
 
Spoke to sa today, very nice. Stated she hadn't heard of this before and asked for pics. I sent the pics. Let you know what i hear.
 
4 emails, 3 calls and 2 sent pics later no response from warranty yet. The women who answer the phones are very nice and courteous but 3 weeks later and still can't get an answer, a little frustrating.
 
Time to

Stop being nice and demand a replacement.The reason they are nice is because at some point they expect you to give up trying.You basically bought a piece of junk instead of spending on quality steel.
 
Finally got it all worked out with springfield, sent it back two weeks ago and picked it up today. Once I got it to SA they flipped it pretty quick. Replaced the mount. Looks good. Concerned it may get beat up again. Still aluminum. But hadn't seen any other complaints about it
