Parker Hale 1200 rebarreled

I had my Parker Hale 1200 rebarreled with Shilen replacement barrel. The gunsmiths parkerized the steel and spray painted the aluminum. I added the Talley split rings and mounts. Shoots better than expected.

Great looking rifle. There is nothing more classic than a mauser action (except maybe a 1911 pistol).

Of course this begs the question: What is the cartridge chambering in your new shilen barrel?

I'm not aware of any aluminum parts on this gun. Which parts?

I've got a 1100 in 3006 love it had a little work done to it just took a black bear with it at 400 yards so nice rifle how accurate is it

Trigger guard and floor plates are usually aluminum on the PH 1200's or at least they are on the two I own.

The bottom metal is aluminum and I believed anodized. This rifle was made in 1969. The aluminum had a purplish hue to it.

I really liked the Nosler rifle look and was going for that look.

I kept the cartridge the same as factory, Rem 7mm mag.
