Paintball

William, the guy with one leg is Dale, the owner of Pegleg (SLC Utah). Hence the name. They are awesome. A few of my friends have had the opportunity to be cannon fodder for them a couple of times. Never had the pleasure of being annialated by them myself, but everybody around here knows that they are incredible. :)

I used to play a LOT. Unfortunately, after the boom two years ago, the sport turned into pansy-ball. Insurance got involved and the fullauto and megabuck guns (where the real fun was) began to get regulated out of existance. Limited and stock play is still fun, but I got tired of the ceaseless whining and carping. So I quit. I still have my Smartmag and Angel, but what can you do when you're not wanted on local fields? Just wasn't worth the hassle anymore.

I'm an avid paintballer, only I've been pretty sick for the last couple of months and haven't played. I've actually invented my own gun. It only has 3 moving parts and can do full auto, or semi auto. The ROF is about 20 a second on full. Unfortunately I can't afford a patent yet, so I can't sell it :(

I have been playing since 91 or a little earlier. I played amature teams in Califonia and Washington state. My first gun was a GZ2000 which was much like a rapide. I build a "barrel extention" for it out of pvc and copper pipe. You cannot hear it from 10 feet away and I have better range then most automags. I ususally use an autococker, but own both an auto mag and auto cocker for the days the auto cocker is being finicky. I still have a vm-68 too, when all of them decide they want to die. The vm-68 keeps chugging along. It is truly the most reliable of all of them. It has been a while since I have played, but if any of you are in texas, (now that it has cooled down,) let me know if you want to play.
Too bad they don't make the preadator masks anymore, I still have mine and like it the most. Added the side armor the second day I had it after a hit to the temples.
And ahh all the war stories that come out.
My best times were on the walk on fields though. Gotta love the San fransico hornets for being good losers.

Learned early that just cause you get hit (including multiple times) doesn't mean any of the paintballs broke, and that your out. Beat a few semi-auto shooters with a rented pump gun when theirs would stop working, or just plain ran out of ammo. Seemed like people were constantly working on their semi-autos between rounds. Also noticed several semi-auto's stopping during play. Knowing your guns capabilities greatley helps. Don't start a fire fight with someone if your gun won't reach them, but theirs can reach you!

I loved the sport I played a lot in school 10 years ago but then the tem split and nobody around had heard of the sport so I sold my stuff. Now it is comming back. I loved my SL68II it would out shoot any auto in distant and acuracy. I could awlys pull off a surprise tage befor things would hit the fan but then the fun started.

Must...resist...temptation. I KNOW I would be completely hooked if I tried it once, and I don't have enough money for my current hobbies, so no sense teasing myself.
Sounds like fun.

Just got back from the game.
We had 22 players and about 6000 balls to play with.
Match One - Draw
Match Two - Won
Match Three - Draw
Match Four - Won
Match Five - Won
Match Six - Lost
Match Seven - Won
8 9 and 10 was Free For Alls - like a living Quake Death Match. Made about a half dozen kills before I was taken out.
I am a very sore and satisfied Wookie right now. No shot put any pain on me... whats sore is my lower back and feet. I did a lot of ground pounding.
Fogging - I HATE Fogging... played each game in a horrible myoptic state due to lots of heavy breathing. If I had good visibility - The turn out would have been much more in my favor. :)
Turtle? No - my team was "Legion".
I did play against a one legged man at one time... He gave me a good welt and I would not call him handicap. I dont know if it was Pegleg or not...
Correia - WE HAVE GOT TO play... Thats all there is to it! Gimme some time to heal first :D

Best freakin sport there is.

This Wookie is taking a nice long soak in the tub... Good Night!
