[OT]: I walk outside with my gun & start shooting ... what happens next?

RKW, Good one! FUD, you gotta get right with God! A New Jersyite transplant in Florida. No wonder! To heck with it, I say, don't worry about the birds go after the neighbors! You could always go to your friendly farm supply and by an electric fence charger and string isolators and wires on your roof peak. Then turn the thing up on "fry"! That will stop them for less than the $300 fully auto bb gun and you will have a lot of fun listening to birds not liking the power of electric current! P.S. I live in the county with 17 acres, I regularly go out the back door and shoot off a few rounds with my private range I'm not joking it's out the back door. The I've actually invited the neighbors for a little pistol training. They pretty much know not to mess with the friendly SOB next door but we have no zoning. There are rumors about it comming before the end of the year and you can bet if it does I will be at the county commissioner's meeting discussing my rights to continue my target practice (I need to you know, I have to practice for IDPA competition) so far so good!
FUD,

FUD, just watch out for those "roof gators" - I don't think the airsoft gun is heavy enough artillery for them. 
Ya know I luv ya. Seriously, I have the exact same problem with these stupid birds in the maple tree out back - they poop all over the doghouses. I shoot the airgun several times a day into the tree, and they fly off for a couple seconds, then come right back. I have killed quite a few too. I even put an inflatable snake and fake owl up there to no avail. If the cops come to my house right after a shoot (shooting an airgun is illegal in city limits), then I'm just flat not going to answer my door - I seriously doubt they'll have enough evidence or interest for a warrant.
