OT - Diablo II

The Original Diablo sucked 6 months of my life. Diablo II is now out. I feel the pull like an addict to a crack house.

But I just spent all my fun money on the Detonics...

AAAAAHHHHGGGGGHHHH! THE PAIN!
 
George are you referrring to the Lamborgeni (sp?) Diablo? And if so does this mean you paid yours off in six months?

I know what you mean and I just got my deluxe collectors edition copy of Diablo II delivered today....
 
Oh no, I hadn't heard. I was trying to blot it out of my mind so I wouldn't buy it and have my wife shoot me for playing every waking hour. Anyone have a bullet proof vest for sale cheap? Guess I will have to run to the store tonight.
 
George, I really really really, wish you hadn't told me this. I didn't know "II" was out.

Well so much for all that exercise i was going to get this summer.

ONLY 6 months? God, I played that game for a year, when I finally went cold turkey I had a level 39 mage and 3 dots...

PS if any of you guys see a "Deathwish" or "Catharsis" on B-net, its me. I might also opt for the name "Hatemonger" if the before mentioned two are taken...
 
I got into D1 a bit late. Am I the only geek here still playing it?

And yes, I suppose I'll have to adjust the budget to cover this one as well, George :D

This is just freakin Dandy...
All I'm hearing about is how freakin KEWL DII is - and all my so called friends and co workers are RUBBING it in that they got theres delivered (Yeah Thanks yorick, you forgot to rub lemon juice into the wound!) and how it sucks to be George cause I'm the only Diablo fan here that DOESNT have it already... And I cant just go buy it cause I spent my money and my wife wont let me pull an extra 50 outta the budge to go get it cause her freaking sister is gettin married and were helping to pay for it!

I mean come on - my sister in laws wedding or Diablo II? Whats more important? Sure I love the girl, but Diablo... I been waiting for that for 5 years...
 
MUST...STAY...AWAY...FROM....SOFTWARE STORE. Already have the beginnings of carpal tunnel from warcraft, diablo, and age of empires. No way I'm gonna get a full case by gettin the sequels. [Not without getting a more ergonomic ball mouse first, that is :) ]
 
FWIW this game is pissing me off. The thing keeps freezing up on me. It must be my video card...

BTW DII KICKS @$$!!!! When it works that is... Lots more you can do with your characters.

The software stores are RAPING people on this game. I went to 4 places and the lowest price was $49.99(that's what I paid) the highest $64.99...

Anyhow, back to trying to get my system fixed, so I can play more DII...
 
"Getting the sequels" - that does sound like a disease, doesn't it? Kinda like "the shingles". Doc, ya gotta help me - I got the sequels. ;)
 
'Rainbow Six: Covert Ops' should be out in a few weeks. And in August, there will be a new Clancy novel 'The Bear & the Dragon' with Jack Ryan and John Clark. (I guess Tom and his publisher must have cut a handsome deal with his ex-wife Wanda. She had claimed partial ownership over the character Jack Ryan.)
 
My son picked it up last night. You probably won't me hearing much from me for a while. I won't be able to get near the computer once he gets it installed. :rolleyes:

Want to play a REAL game (i.e. HIGHLY under-rated?) Try System Shock and of course System Shock II. Just love bashing those monkey's with the pipe, or bouncing grenades around corners... :D
