Only one Glock

G29.

It does everything I need a Glock to do; drop-in barrels are available in .40 and .357SIG; and not everybody and their brother has a 10mm. ;) Second choice would be the G23, which may be the best all-around Glock.

wow, what a coincidence. You were the first one to reply Tamara and at that time I happened to be looking at your website. I have been contemplating getting a glock for my next purchase and wanted some input as to what my first glock should be. I was thinking that I should get the 23. I just got the HK usp .45 so I already have a .45. thought i should get a different caliber. I am so confused. I know I am going to end up with a bunch of different guns.

Well I have ben faced with this for financial reasons. My first was a Glock 22. I considered the Glock 23 because of its intermediate size, but it didn't fit me well. If it fits your hand, I would go with that. I wanted concealment though so I traded my Glock 22 in on a 27. That is what is my one and only Glock. I am a 40S&W fan though so if you like 9mm better, feel free to substitute.

Only one, God what a horrible thought!!!!
Well, since you bring the subject up... I would have to pick The Black Widow Maker: G30.
Reasons: My loving wife confiscated my G26 and I do not shoot my G19 as well as the BWM!!!:D

I own two: G21 and G19. I wouldn't want to choose between them, but if I had to the G21 would stay with me.

Since you already have a .45 ACP and aren't looking for another gun in that caliber, then the G19 would be my choice/recommendation.

Well right now I only have 1 Glock (about to be 2 tho). Mine is the 30. Compact, 45acp, that holds 10+1 rounds how can you go wrong.

I own a 17, 34, and a 22 and the classic 17 is still my favorite Glock. Of course, I don't own a 30... yet!

I find this topic to be depressing and predjudicial(insert sarcasm) so I refuse to pick only one.......shame on you for making me sad this early in the morning. (insert more sarcasm)

My choice would be the G-19. Compact, easily
concealed, accurate, reliable, and with pre-ban
magazines plenty of firepower. Add to the fact that 9m/m ammunition is available virtually every
where; maybe even in Afghanistan?

Best Wishes,

Glock 17. 9mm, hi-caps can still be found (at a premium) and it was the first in the pedigree. Plus, you don't hear stories of the 9's kb! Big plus for me since my 21 kb in March.

All depends on the intended use. If you're wanting a gun purely for recreational purposes, a full size pistol such as the G17 would serve well as your ONLY handgun. 9mm ammo is relatively cheap and a variety of loadings are offered by the most ammo manufacturers. With current offerings in personal defense rounds for the 9mm I wouldn't feel hampered at all using the G17 in a self/home defense role until you get to the point of concealed carry. If you have the need or desire to carry concealed, then I would opt for the most versatile 9mm Glock has to offer... The G19!!

I would have to ask, "only one pistol?" I like my 9mm BHP and my Kimber .45, which is why I chose the 357 sig Glock (G32). Small, powerfull and can easily be converted to S&W 40. High cap mags would be nice, but then if you can't extricate yourself from trouble with 10 rounds your probably dead anyway. Two shot derringers and 5-6 shot snubbies have worked well for a hundred years, so I don't really understand the obcession over 3-5 additional rounds in handguns. Battle rifles are another story entirely.

Glock 32 in .357 Sig, with a .40 G23 barrel for practice. The .357 Sig is arguably the better carry round, but .40 is cheaper for practice.

g19

with hi caps 15 + 1 should be enough
ammo is light weight
ammo is cheap
effective round with controllable recoil
minimal muzzle blast
just plain fun

Thats an easy one...a Glock 20 10mm. It can do just about anything you could possibly ask from a hand held weapon. It's easier to conceal than you would think under a ight jacket, and I'm a tall, skinny guy. If things ever got bad enough that it was you only weapon and the supermarkets were rubble, you can hunt light skin large game with it out to 100 yards or so with the right ammo. With 15+1 rounds of potent 10mm hollowpoints you could keep even the most dogged of drugged up zombie-goblins at bay.
Without a doubt, the Glock 20 is my first grab in a bug-out situation.

Only one Glock. Well, that described me until I bought my second a couple months back. My first Glock was (and is) a G23. Why? Prefer the .40 to the 9mm; like the compact size compared to the G22; fits my hand well. Down side is the cost of pre-ban mags. Two came with my gun (purchased second hand) and I bought several more before they really jumped in price.

My second was a 27, with Pearce +1 extensions on the magazines. With the extensions, the grip is long enough for firm control. If I didn't already have the 23 with hi-caps, I'd consider the 27 for a first choice . . .

. . . but I like Tamara's comment on the 29. Gonna have to check that out. After all, Glock's are like Lay's potato chips.

Interesting situation, same as I was in about a year ago.

I have a USP .45 full size, wanted a different caliber and wanted to focus on a pistol in a CCW size.

Chose the G27. Like the reputation of the .40 and the fact it was the same size of the G26. Like the fact I can make it into a 357 Auto if I so choose...

If I could only have one pistol and it had to be a Glock, I would choose the G30.

I have been looking at the G23 but I can't decide wether or not I want to .45 or the .40. Or maybe I want the 9mm. The only thing that I am thinking is that I should at least get the 40 s&w since I can't get any hi-cap mags for the 9mm. I live in California so apparently I can't even buy pre-ban mags here.
