It doesn't. 27,000+ signatures from the internet are far outweighed by a couple personal calls to a representative.

Signing it doesn't hurt, but your time would be better spent doing any of about a thousand other things to fight this.

Signed. 29,744. E-mailing to relatives, coworkers and contacts from work all over the country. If everyone would do the same.... maybe it will help. It can't hurt.

This is now officially my favorite firearms forum. There are people here who care, that is obvious. Others quit days ago.

I'm sold on this place.

Signature 30997. Who here has written and/or called their house rep? I just wrote mine last night. I tried to start a roll-call for that in the general forum but Antipitas closed it!

I'm serious we need a roll call for TFL members that have done this. This board has about 45000 members of which about 5000 are active.

Who to talk to:

I did a roll-call of the judiciary committee (where 1022 is sleeping).

It's a dead heat with the decision essentially coming down to Rep. Lungren (R-CA) <- That man is on the fence!!!

Other folks to pester if you're in their district:
Rep Boucher (D-VA)
Rep Cohen (D-TN)
Rep Davis (D-AL)
These guys are on our side. Play nice!

Rep Johnson (D-GA) is a complete unknown with no track record. His constituents are pressuring him to go our way and his party is pressuring him to go their way.

If any of you folks are in their districts, let 'em know!!
