One suppressor, multiple firearms?

im very interested but uneducated on this topic. i want to get a silencer for one of my 5.56 bullpups but do plan on buying something in 7.62 eventually.... would buying it for the larger cal work in this instance also or is that to large of a gap between rounds rendering the idea not effective?
 
30cal silencer

I run a 30cal silencer on my M16s because I am particularly sensative to smoke in the face as a left handed shooter. The overbore and volume on the 30 cal silencer helps reduce this.

The 30cal is quite effective as the larger size and internal volume increase makes up for the looser bore.

The trade off is size and weight, but for me it's worth it because I shoot my gear but do not hump it around.
