One Glock, which one would it be?

17

For me it would be the G17. For quite a few years, I had reservations about the 9mm for SD, but got over that and carry one (G17) often.

The pistols are extremely durable, and the finish on my Gen 2 seems impervious to sweat. Mine has been as reliable as a brick. Bought it second hand for bamaboy, who shot it IDPA, then I swapped him out of it and shot and carried the pistol myself. No telling how many rounds it's fired. Bamaboy had it at the range recently and they asked him if it was his "granfathers" pistol!!! I don't worry about it getting it wet, sweaty or dusty, and a scratch or ding doesn't bother me, or it. I can conceal it easily enough, on a belt rig in cool weather, inside the waistband other wise.

Shorter than a G34 (which prides itself in being the same dimensions as a 1911) and longer with more grip than the G19, to me, it seems right in the middle dimension wise for shootability.

I like the G20 & G21, and their bigger cartidges, but do find them a bit hard to conceal.

Also, I will say the G17 and G22 are completely pointless. If you want the larger size, go with the 34/35 instead and get better velocity, accuracy, the better trigger, and less recoil. Then, the 19 and 23 size is smaller and more comfortable, but IMO, just as accurate and gets as good velocity as the 17/22 does, but in a more size efficient package.

Completely disagree. If I could only have 1 it would be the 17 (keep my .45s 1911s thx). It balances better than a 34/17L IMO and is faster on the draw. The 26 is nice, bit I can carry a 17 with very little hassle (its my go to CCW 9mm) but the extra barrel length of the 34 is annoying in the pants much like a commander 1911 vs a gov't. Sure the grip is the same but that extra length is ... pokey. I keep the 9mm, I've forayed in the .40 and .357 and find them to not be for me. 9mm, 10mm and .45 are my auto cartridges.

To sum up the OP, 17 for me.

Glock is not a range gun (IMHO), it is however a reliable carry gun. My choice of ammo is 9mm, thus for me the G26 is the only choice for me. I could live with a G43 but I love double stack guns. Right now my next gun will be an H&K P30sk but the G26 is close behind.

I have owned a few Glocks over the years, and the only one left is my G27. I have tried others, but the G27 seems to work best for me. I did pick up a G33 barrel for it, and have enjoyed shooting 357sig.

Though, I might be tempted by a MOS G23 or G32 if they ever come out.

If by some strange set of circumstances I were to be limited to one Glock I would truly be hard pressed to choose between the G4 G30S I put together and my G41. Glock could solve my dilemma by bringing out a G21S, i.e. a G21 with the slim slide and barrel of the G36, G30s and G41. That would be the one I would choose if so restricted.

No one mentions the 23

Talk about a versital gun, 40 caliber, you can put conversation barrels, goes bang no matter what you feed it and more concealable. My choice for what it's worth

I like my Glock 19. Great and cheap mod is to put some griptape in the groves on the slide and/or on the grip.

I have two old issue Glocks. 35 and a 22. Bought the 35 for $300 when we went to the G22. The Police Association bought my G22 for me when I retired. (Kinda cool, my badge number is part of the serial number).

I have, out of my own pocket, bought two Glocks. A gen 2 and a gen 3 19.

To me, for all purpose use, the 19 is the pinnacle of Glocks.

The OP is asking about models other than the G19. Well, there are a couple I'd like to have, like a G21, maybe in SF. (Do those come that way?) Or maybe a G30SF. In truth, though, I currently have only 1 Glock, a G19.
