It is tough to limit to just 5 but Ill try with hand guns only.

Sorry I tried but had to delete them,to many favorites and do alls to
pick only 5 for specific things.

I realize this is in the handgun forum but I have to add a few long guns to my list.

1) Plinking/Fun

Ruger 10/22 with a Tapco stock, BSA red dot, promag VG, and a Butler Creek Steel Lips 25 round mag.
It's fun, cheap, accurate, cheap, fun, and it's fun. Oh and it's cheap.

2) Utility/Woods

This is hard for me because it depends a lot on the season and why I am in the woods..(hunting, camping, hiking, ect...) I usually find myself spending the most time hiking in the woods these days and my XD 40 Tactical has made the most trips recently. It'll take down or deter any two or four legged aggressors I may run into in my locale and it's realitivily light weight and easy to carry/conceal if need be.

3) Home Defense

Once again, it's hard to narrow this down to one gun because I actively use two, a hand gun on the night stand and a shotgun in the corner. I'll list the shotgun though because this is it's main designation. I use an H&R Pardner Protector with ghost ring sights, mako forend w/ streamlight poly tac led attached and a magpul afg(modded for a better grip on the forend), CAA 6 pos stock, and a 6 shell side saddle. The first three rounds are milsurp 00 buck followed by 3 slugs. The side saddle has three of each in waiting.

picture doesn't reflect most recent upgrades

4) Conceal Carry

Here we are again with a one gun request and I just can't comply.

Summer: (T-shirt weather) Ruger LCP .380 w/ Hornady Critical Defense, in a Fobus paddle holster.

Winter: Springfield Armory XD 40, Tactical w/ Hornday XTP, in a Blackhawk Serpa paddle holster

5) One you can't live with out.

This is easy. My DPMS Lower/DSA Upper AR-15. I run a Vector 1-4X24 FFP on a Burris PEPR with mag pull mbus back up sights, UTG free floating handguard, VG, UTG QR bi-pod, CAA stock, Hogue pistol grip, Streamlight PolyTac LED, magpul ASAP sling mount with blackhawk Storm Sling, and a 5mw red laser sighted for 100 yrds. It's duracoated extreme gray....and it's puurrdy
