OK outlaws sale of violent video games to kids

I think this really is the same mentality that drives people to think guns, knives, etc should be banned.

Blame the person commiting the act. Why would you reach anywhere else. Despite all the psychology and sensitivity BS, that's really what it needs to come down to.

Still waiting on the "police state" comments to come.

This is just silly. As if the kids won't get the games anyway.

Sounds more like a "Hey look at me. I'm a politician, and I'm doing something productive." drivel. SSDD

Hm, do I think violent video games are a factor in violent behavior? Not really, no more than cartoons were a couple generations ago or heavy metal a generation ago. These things are figments of uptight people's imaginations.
However, since this is the law, Blockbuster should not be more concerned about repeat illegal buisness over following the law. So store need to be held to the law, however silly it may be. A law that makes breaking a previous law illegal does nothing, obviously the first law was not enforced.

The only people that are affected by such things are already inclined to some level of violence, whether through ignorance (a knock in the teeth should cure that), stupidity, or other issues.

Look at the bright side, you don't have the housekeeper's job.
Oh God, I never even thought of that. If ever there was a reason God would forgive suicide, it would be for baby sitting.:D

Not that I advocate selling porno to minors, but the law really is a joke. Especially considering that some kids nowadays know more about sex than their own parents.
