Oh the infamous dead horse.

I thought about the Taurus PT-145, until I noticed that a few of you have had some frame cracks. No thank you to that choice. I want it to go bang when I pull the trigger. If it doesn't, my only alternative might be to throw it at the attacker while they're distracted laughing.

Wise choice!!! ;)
I was one of those who got caught in the PosT-145 maze!!
My solution was to get a Glock 36. It is small enough to carry anywhere on your person and it's a .45ACP!!!

If you can't afford the $320 for the CZ-75Bmil, get your self a Mak and a lot of ammo. Check out makarov.com.

I have two Bulgarians. They are one hell of a lot of gun for $135.
:)

I'd have to agree with C.R. Sam, a used .357 revolver would make a great house gun on a budget.

I recommend the Smith & Wesson M10 revolver chambered in .38 Special. You can buy a used one for under $200 if you look around.

The Smith & Wesson M10 is also called the "Military & Police" revolver. The US military had issued them out to pilots in WWII while many police agencies have carried them through much of the 20th century.

A good benefit of the S&W M10 revolver is that .38 Special ammunition can be found anywhere for sale. It is also an easy cartridge to get components for when you get into handloading.
