Odd ball creatures being built. SKS/FAL Hybrids

I got to say, I like it. Not that I'd replace my real FALs, you can't compare 7.62x39 to 7.62x51 for power and range, but it looks like a nice addition to the collection if it's reliable.
Really, the SKS action is not much different than the FAL. Both use a tilting bolt. Both headspace the same way. Both use a top mounted gas tube with a tappet. The SKS's gas system is just not adjustable like the FAL's though.
Marrying the FAL to the SKS looks like it gives the SKS a better trigger design, pistol grip, and better sights. Plus is that an adjustable gas system on there?
On top of that, it looks like you get AK mags which are probably the best rifle mags in the world.
Again, not improving the FAL, but definitely an improvement for the SKS (if it works reliably). If it was me though, I'd have put the bolt handle on the left side and it needs a custom FAL lower that fits better.

Left hand bolt? better fit? .....OK
Heres the second XT-M1c that uses a VZ58 magazine and the butt stocks & forends are push button QD units. The electro forend uses a 7Watt CREE light thats dial up flood to beam and a 635nm orange laser above it fully adjustable in my own designed alloy housing and they both run off a chink 18650 4000mah lith ion battery. Its so tight on the gun, once sighted in, it can be removed multi times and rezero's solid. It has a heavy fined barrel that started out as the earlier pictured Isreali chrome lined 1919 BMG barrel. I made the weaver converta mount base in steel & welded it to the reciever. It has the scope dead center over bore. The butt plate is QD with a 5 shot mag hideing place inside. The left hand bolt mod is of my own design & turned from 4140 steel. The gas system is 7 position adjustable and is a industry first free floating design that I have a provisional patent on. It decreases barrel whip inherit in most all piston drive systems. It needs paint & a front sling swivel stud and then a serious round of accuracy testing. The 308 bore may not fair too well but Fiochi x39's are 308 and should do well. The unit has about 500 rds through it with no malfunctions what ever. Just thought you guys might find it interesting...once again!
