NRA Ball Cap

I have been a member for a long time now. And I never did get my hat. But I also don't like that 1969 looking hat, so I never cried about it. If you guys are looking for modern hats, check out the online store. They have many new cotton twill hats that look like something you would see in a NFL catalog. I ordered a bunch of stuff, and their prices are really pretty good. The average price is around $13.00, not too bad considering my Minn. Vikings hats run around $25.
I never got too many comments on my NRA clothing, but I did get a few on my window decals on my rides. I had one older man walk up to my car and then stopped, and said " sorry, I thought that was a Marine Corps decal". I had another woman ask me why I was proud to be a member. She said that decal was just plain stupid. So, I went home, and scraped it off. And then replaced them with those BIG 11" NRA decals that they sell on their site. I got one on each side rear window on my Z-24, and one in the center of my rear truck window. I hope that clears up any questions about what it says, or if I put them on by "accident".

" I SHOOT BACK! "

I went to a Friends of the NRA dinner here a month ago and picked up a nice hunting NRA cap.

I, too, am not all that happy with the free "scrambled egg" cap that comes with an NRA membership, but I still wear it from time to time. I've never liked caps with embroidery on the bill--it looks too pretentious.

BTW, I wore it on a visit to the Las Vegas strip last year, hoping for some comments, but I didn't get any. I also had my wife photograph me wearing it and standing in front of a casino sign advertising anti-gunner Lorna Luft, but the picture didn't come out.

It took so much effort to get my cap from the NRA that I figured it must be too valuable to wear. I keep mine under lock and key so those guys who are still waitng for theirs don't come after mine!!!

I enjoy wearing my "Black Hat" when I shoot my "Black Rifle"... and my brown one, and my silver one...

Even my girlfriend calls it my "redneck" hat! Course she's a vegetarian/psychic/supermodel/biker chick, so what would you expect? ;)

Frankly, I've had no bad comments and only met nice people wearing thier black hats. I wear mine in public more than I bear arms in public. I see alot of NEW black hats, may be a good sign. And I missed out on the camo Friends of the NRA hat at the last banquet I went to. OTOH, I did win a "raffle rifle" so I won't complain about the hat!

Join the NRA!!! And don't stop there!

I got the hat when I signed up for a Life membership in Feb. I gave the hat to a friend's son.

What I have yet to get is A MEMBERSHIP CARD!

Got so mad last month at the NRA I went & joined the GOA as a life member. (no card from them yet either)

I called the NRA yesterday and asked them why I didn't get my hat, silver bullet, and millenium card. All I got was the regular card. She said she was sending me the stuff and to expect it in four weeks or so. I won't hold my breath.
