November election a formality?

I believe that there will be a pleasent surprise when the elections are over. I feel the public is tired of the liberal crap and we will have a clear Bush win. Most of my liberal friends are even tired of the Clinton/Gore fiascal.

The true sleeper in all this is Hillary. If she makes the NY senate I garauntee she will run for the first woman president next term.

"I don't know, or have talked to ANYONE who will admit to voting for that slime thats in the White House now, the 1st time. Let alone the 2nd. Are there THAT many liars out there. Or THAT many soccer moms. Just who DID put that A**H**E in there anyway?"

I said this same thing for years. That was until I did the math: Clinton was voted in with around 43% of the votes. Only about 22% of people actually got off their lazy ass and voted. So, 43% of the votes, divided by (or multiplied by as it were) 22% of people actually voting means that about 9.5% of this nation actually VOTED FOR Clinton! That means that not much more than about one out of ten of all people you meet on the street voted for Clinton and these are the people that decided who our president would be. It is a very small minority of people that are dedicated enough to get off their butts and go vote, and they are running the country. THAT is why it is so hard to find people that did vote for him, because it really didn't take that many. AND, many people that did vote for him are now too embarassed to admit it so they lie! (Please, PLEASE, don’t pick on me for my % numbers, I know they are off by a few percentage points because I am doing this from memory, but you get my point).

Not only that, but a survey found that 87% of all media members voted for Clinton. What does that tell you??? These people write the news and influence how it comes out, and whoever they want to win, wins.

When they speak of instituting "common sense gun control laws" keep this quote in mind:

"A `common-sense' approach to gun violence in America would be to ban handguns,"

OK, before we get off into the Trilateral commission, and the Black helicopters and such, let's all take our medications and think rationally...

I live in Texas. I carry concealed because of George W. Bush. Would I be carrying concealed if Gore was in? I don't think so. Bush has to look moderate in terms of gun policy or he risks losing the moderates. The TSRA rates him highly. He's our man. If you want to make a point this year and vote for Buchanan, make sure and drop a list of all your handguns off at the ballot box while you are there, because a vote for anyone else is a vote for Gore. And after the election, your friends from the BATF will be registering your guns, and eventually collecting them in terms of "public safety". Don't believe it can't happen. So...

If you are breathing this year, vote for George W. Bush. If you don't, it won't be the Trilateral commission or the U.N. picking up your guns, it'll be the friendly local sheriff.

TOPKICK, hang in there. I doubt you will change the socialist (socialist = democrats + republicans) minds, but you may keep them from brainwashing someone. The socialist are going to waste their vote voting for who they are told is the winner. I am going to vote for an American who will honor the oath of office. Say that another way, I am not going to vote for anyone who I know does not honor the oath of office. That excludes the front runners of the socialist party, bush and gore.

If a constitutional government means anything to voters then they will vote third party. Harry Browne deserves a look see, harrybrowne.org

As usual, Robert Heinlein said it best: " If
you live in a society that votes, do so;
there may be no issues and no candidates
that you wish to vote for, but there are
sure to be candidates and issues you wish
to vote against- when in doubt, vote against"
. He also said " In voting, remember that
the difference between bad and worse is
infinitely more important than the differ-
ence between good and better.".

Juan Hunt Greer, well now I have some disagreement with "vote against". I haven't yet saw on the ballot that box to mark. Nor have I saw who is the winner or the lesser of the evils. I do see a lot of mind control propaganda in putting out such mis-information.

It surely would help defuse some confusion if our voters understood a few simple concepts. Which by voting records and political rhetoric spewing from any and every place I see little, if any at all, true understanding of a Republic, which is our country.

No political party is America, nor is even the federal government America. The federal government was created for, and it's purpose is, the protection of these United States.

The purpose of the vote in this Republic is to elect a citizen who will honor the oath of office. The job of the elected is not the fickle wishy washy will of the people, but to Preserve, Protect and Defend the Constitution. The Constitution says what the elected can and cannot do, not We, The People, thank goodness for the wisdom of our Founder Fathers.

If We, the People, wish to continue living in this Republic and freedom as guaranteed by the Constitution then we better recognize who is plundering America and shredding our Constitution. Only those we elect to office in Congress have the constitutional authority to enact laws for the Republic. It is the elected who are our enemy and so true for many years. These elected are members of the democrat and/or republican political parties. They do not honor their oath of office and have not done so in 70-80 years at least.

A good conscience positive vote for this Republic and freedom for our selves and our children will be cast for a third party candidate this coming November. We do know no third party candidate has dishonored the oath of office.

I need to put my 2 cents in here.

A vote for a third party just gets Gore elected.

I am a Libritairian but my party's
canidate is not electable as president.

All he can do is cost Bush the election and we end up with Gore and gun confiscation.

What I am doing is voting for Bush as pres and then all the rest Libritairian.

When I hit places where there are no Libtitairian canadates ,I will vote republican.

When I was 21, I was a Democrat, back in 1970.

In 1975, I became smart enough to see through their lies and became a Republican.

In 1999, after constant backstabbing by republican turncoats siding with the Democrats on Second Ammendment issues, I became a Libratarian.

The last thing I want o say is that the voting is computerized and the programers of the election computers can program in to the computer instructions on how the computer
counts the votes.

Therefore; whoever controls the election computer programer controls the election.

Is the election fixed? I think so.........

I'm still going to vote as if my vote actually meant something because I could be wrong and prehaps my vote does count.

I just wish I could really believe that.

DANGER ...ANALOGY WARNING!! Analogy follows.

HISTORICALLY.......... The republicans are
in for two terms and pave the road with new macadam so that it is nice and smooth and all the pot holes and frost heaves are fixed.
The republicans fix things up to run smoothly.

Then the democrats come along for two terms and let the road go to pot (holes) until the
road is in such bad condition as to be almost immpassable. The Democrats ruin all the good work done by the Republicans.

Now , we must elect the Republicans so that they can again repair all the damage done to the USA by the raving liberals.

The republicans will again pave the way and repair the pot holes and get things running smoothly.

End Historical anoligy.

The problem now is that the republican party has been infultrated by liberal socialists
known as moderate republicans or even worst
liberal republicans.

Because of this infultration, called covert enemy action, the republican party of 1999
is extreemly similar to the Democratic Party of 1985.

In other words-- just too damn liberal to be born.

The dems want to register and license and then confiscate firearms.GUN CONTROL FAST &
HEAVY. Stabbed in the back with a broad sword, many, many, many times.

The republicans want some reasonable gun contol.
Gun Control lite or stabbed in the back with a pen knife, once or twice with regrets and appoligies, maybe.

I hope we can get many libritarians elected to lesser office.

Libritarians are for Second Ammendment rights and for the Constitution and against big government and against income tax.

AND , I must tell you, I do not like giving 15% of my income to the federal govt and 4%
to the state for income tax and 6% to the state for sales tax and 7.6% of the value of my property to the city for property tax which equals 35% of my yearly income.

That totals up to 60% of my yearly income piad out for taxes and I must survive and pay all my bills on just the other 40%.

It really makes my stomach cramp up when I have to write out those checks and watch my account, which I have been saving to build up
to an adiquate ammount for 6 months , zero out after paying taxes.

I am broke and I have to start saving up all over again, this time to pay Visa and the electric and fuel oil.

I never seem to have any money left for myself.

That is another reason why I joined the libritarian party.
The republicans talk about smaller government and talk about giving us a tax break but never come through with the real thing.

Talk does not put money in my
empty pocket.

And I have not yet figured out how to spend
political BS at the store.

ernest2, you posted too much to respond to all of it. I see your head is on straight about most of what you said but you've slipped up and still allow political rhetoric an opening to corrupt clear thinking. Consider this, political parties are not America, everyone (any citizen) elected to public office are required to take the oath of office, the purpose of the vote is to elect a citizen who will honor the oath and no other legitimate reason in this Republic. If members of the Republican party in elected office are super duper statesmen it matters not because they are ineffective at honoring the oath. I'll not waste not vote on any candidate who I know will not honor the oath, period and regardless of political party. Hang political parties. As far as I am concern the democrat party is a dead or terminal ill party. I'll not waste my vote criminals either. The preservation of this Republic requires a knowledgeable and alert citizenry. If freedom, Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness means anything to voters then they best forget political parties and vote their conscience as to who will honor the oath.

My bet is, AllanHampton, that you are a paid shill of the Democratic Party! You are sure doing their work. If enough of your 'clear thinking' is listened to, get your guns out and wait for the JBST ... they're coming'. I don't like any of the democratic/republican BS any better than anyone else, but if Gore gets in, the supremes will be loaded up to the left and kiss the second goodbye. And that doesn't count what Gore will do with 'executive privilege. I'd love to vote for a person who honored their oaths ... but there ain't none. So how about layin' off that 'clear thinkin' stuff for awhile.

Do your best to encourage the liberals you know to vote their conscience: Ralph Nadar. Gore is so closely tied to Clinton and waffles. Nadar at least means what he says. Or that should be our argument anyway.
smile.gif

I'm thinking of signing up to campaign for him. If you can't beat them, join them. Or at least screw them up a bit for fun.

This is from Bush's web site on his gun positions: "Supports requiring instant background checks at gun shows by allowing gun show promoters to access the instant check system on behalf of vendors."

Now, I don't want to get too Clintonian here in interpreting language, so I'll just ask this question. What is a "vendor?" Is it you or me, or somebody with a table? Does anyone know what language is used in the Lautenberg
amendment?

Just wondering (hoping) if/that George W is allowing some wiggle room on the gun show issue. Nevertheless, I'll fire off another letter to his campaign to let them know what I think about the private transaction ban.

Right on, Magoo,

I like the Libertarians myself but will be voting for "Dubya" in Nov.

We mustn't forget that in 1992 Klinton won because so many people voted for Perot.
