... oh yes it is.... that's exactly what it is.
today at my LGS I noticed a Ruger american that stood out from all the rest. it has a blue camo dipped stock, very similar to Navy NWU pattern. I can't find any info on this particular option. it isn't listed on Ruger's website, it also doesn't pop up on lipseys or talo so I was just wondering who is doing these?

I found one on guns america but no information other that make, model and caliber. also, both rifles are 308, is this option available in 243?

I would call them if you're interested, could just be that they aren't reflecting the option on their website.

A search online does show 10/22's with the same scheme, and they're from different retailers so it's not a proprietary dealer offering.

Ruger sometimes has unusual stocks for a particular dealer for some of its rifles. I would love one like the OP describes. The American rifles are really selling around here. I keep seeing new ones at the range. No doubt I will soon have one in my safe.

Ive seen one out here too.

I wouldn't mind having one of those in 30-06. hhhmmm.

I would be interesting in find out out hard it shoots, its an awfully light gun (nice for hunting, not so much for target but it has a good pad on it).

I handled one the other day, not sure how I feel about it, have to chew on it and repeat.

30-06s don't kick too bad, my 6.5lbs Savage has a decent pad on it and I can shoot it most of the day, kick alot less then my 8.5lbs 7mm Rem Mag. That said shoot a 7mm-08 or 260 and you will find a recoil range you actually enjoy shooting. I e-mailed Ruger to see if they had any plans on releasing the American in 6.5 Creedmore or 260 Rem, no plans yet but that would be a dandy deer rifle.
