To me thats like some one pointing a gun at me and saying Im going to kill you,
We should do the same to N Korea, if the commies make a move, turn the hole dung heap into a parking lot.
 
killing mostly civilians while the folks that would actually launch the thing are safely tucked away in their bomb shelters. sounds like a great idea to me!

North Korea got plenty of help from a far more aggressive shadow enemy. Possible a country that is more of a liability to our security.

It all goes back to an individual that stole nuclear secrets from the Dutch. North Korea is the tail end of it.
 
IIRC, that type of reactor technology was 'sold', given, whatever...to North Korea because it was deemed impossible to use that technology to produce weapons grade fissionable material or the makings of a bomb per se. I think that its a pretty far stretch to attempt to connect Rumsfeld as a boogy man to todays announcement. There is someone or a group of someones responsible, but I don't believe its Rumsfeld, ABB or the US Govt. YMMV
 
If the nukes start flying N Korea has more bunkers, and much deeper, than most. It is a country that has entensive underground fortifications and a very large professional army, and an even larger militia.

But personally, if I were some little country somewhere that was arming itself to protect against any possible aggressors and some far off government didn't like what I was making, I'd tell them to get stuffed as well.

Maybe the NKs have nuclear weapons, maybe not. A year or 2 back they made the same claim and quickly retracted it. Could be they are trying to fabricate some leverage for the next weapons conference.

I have trouble assuming anything a politician says is true, particularly a dictator or his mouthpiece.
 
I thought we knew that years ago. I thought they had admitted it years ago. Why is this a big story again as if nobody knew?

Next they be saying Israel has nukes. Well no duh! :rolleyes:
 
They've been beating around the bush for a while, but this is the first time they've come out and definitively claimed to have a bomb - one handed to them on a silver platter by Albright, evidently, if it's true.

Yea, I know they can't stop talking about him for over a year now. They won't let his face get out of the news so that this is in everyone's mind instead of the truth. He's just a shill story though. The perfect fall guy. Would you give enriched uranium to Al Qaeda and not expect them to figure out how to build a bomb? The information is out there.
