No SKS Love here?

I love my SKS. It is just your run of the mill Norinco brand with a short collar screw in barrel. Not a bad buy for what I paid for it. Just wish Bubba hadn't neutered the bayo lug and sling mount before I got it. But it is still my do-it-all carbine. Will test it out in the deer woods in a couple of months.

I love me Norinco SKS. It was practically brand new when I bought it. It has a barrel that appears to be pinned to the receiver though. I've always wanted a russian or romanian SKS and will buy one when the opportunity comes along. They just seem more rugged than the pin barrel ones. Mine shoots high and to the right after it gets hot, something that the screw-in barrels probably don't do?

I've always liked the SKS. In fact, it is much more pleasant to shoot than the AK IMO.

I love my Yugo SKS. they take a lot of flak from some, but mine can and has out-shot a norinco version on several occasions. I do have mine "dolled up" with a dragonuv stock, 20 round mag and scope. The scope holds its zero long enough to get me through hunting season, and its a lot of fun when its time to rezero

I was given an SKS as a tip on a job once. It shot very accurately inside 75 yds. I liked it a lot, and only had one problem with it. It had problems holding in the Mag. A new trigger group was only 40 bucks and then it worked perfectly.

I expected less out of the SKS for the cost of them (regardless of the tip). I was very pleasantly surprised at how quick handling and accurate it was. I sold it to a friend for 200 bucks cuz he needed a rifle and I really didn't need another caliber in the lineup. I used the money to fund a nice drag bag for my M1A.

I'd own another SKS in a heartbeat.

I dont have an SKS but its on my wish list.
I have alwayse viewed then as a good carbine, and I really like the way they look with the olive drab sling. I will own one one day. :)

SKS

Russian SKS - utterly reliable; chromed chamber and barrel; rudimentary sights, but reasonably accurate for hunting or SD; don't expect minute of angle and you won't be dissatisfied.

I've owned about 6 or 8 of'm. When they were like $80 I'd buy one when I need one and sell it when I didn't. Used to put a Peep Sight on'm. I'd like a real Paratrooper Model but haven't seen one in awhile and the last one I did see was as much as an AK.
