...no one on the bus except us crazies...

So are you asking:

So, I'd like to ask my fellow TFL members, just what exactly should be our parameters for a mental defect.

Or are you asking:

As pointed out, we now use the word "adjudicated." Suppose we applied a new law to the same extent as the Lautenberg Act.

Because those seem to be two different topics to me.

However, lets suppose that factions of any new anti-gun law using the phrase "mentally ill" are to be applied just as The Lautenberg Act.

Well, if Mr. TSR doesn't write his representative and get involved in the political system, that may very well happen to him one day. There is just no substitute for work. You can't pay the NRA $30 a year and expect them to do all the heavy lifting for you. You have to be informed on what your representatives are doing and hold them accountable while supporting those who work for you. If I don't carry my share of the load, I certainly have no right to expect anyone else to carry it for me.

However, given the number of crazy gun bills submitted every year that go nowhere; the mere fact that not a single one of those bills proposes changing the current definition (and this is after VA Tech) suggests that your fears of this particular scenario may be a bit premature.

If Hillary is elected, one her planks is visiting our current health care system, which I would guess is to have a socialist slant.

I don't think anything is premature.
