Photo licensing reminds me of the old days when prostitutes were inspected and licensed to show that they were "clean". That lasted until one of 'em got infected right after an inspection and contaminated the entire city council.
Once they get you to accept photo licensing under the guise of no further checks, it will be rescinded because someone, probably a plant, went "bad" after they were cleared.
Fight them at every step, no matter how reasonable it may seem.

CM: Exactly, with some CHL licences (like in Texas) you can buy without the background check.

A specific, photo license to purchase or possess firearms is an infringement. It makes it clear who has firearms, and that is ill advised when dealing with corrupt governments. Need I say more? 
OTOH, many drivers licenses currently have a notation as to whether someone is an 'organ donor' or not. How about something similar for firearms. Everyone who has a drivers license would have a box on their license indicating whether they meet the requirements for purchasing firearms. Whether they owned a firearm or not, their license would have this notation. Mine would, Sarah Brady's would. No governmental notice as to who owns a firearm ... just a record of who could own a firearm. Big difference, in my mind.

Well, the milling mom's (there won't be a million, so they'll be milling around aimlessly) will be able to say they had an impact. After all, less guns were sold than usual at the time of the march (and beyond?).
Of course, the real reason will go unreported.
Did they get AR-15.com, too? I get "connection reset" notices every time I've tried to log-in since 5/10. Also, why won't the reply form here remember my name and password like it used to? I've only been registered about three months. Did it all expire or something?

Here's my idea:
Instead of punishing gun owners, and law abiding citizens, why don't we overstamp all felon's ID cards with FELON, and then there isn't any need to do background checks on anyone else.
