NICHE GUNS

My gun inventory can be divided into three groups;
* Guns I have to protect myself. These I bought specifically for carry.
* Guns I bought for fun. These are mostly range guns and are usually small caliber for plinking.
* Guns I buy to collect. These I view mainly as investments or as my hobby.

There is probably some overlap in these groups. All guns fall into one niche or another. It all depends on how you catagorize them.

Yes, niche guns are part of my collection.../ not everything in a collection has to serve multiple purposes for me to want to add it to the mix....

a. A Freedom Arms single action revolver...mine is a 4 3/4" octagon barrel made in .357 mag ...just makes me smile every time I touch it / or shoot it ...

b. most any S&W N fram revolver in an 8 3/8" barrel ...whether its a .357 mag or .44mag.../ they aren't real practical to carry around ( its kind of like having a carbine in a holster....but they're fun )...

c. a lever action carbine ...like a Henry in .357 mag...brass receiver.. nice gun / practical ...maybe for whitetail deer.../or just plinking ...mine is for plinking....

and on and on ......
