Next New Friend

Hmm... How 'bout a shiny new AR? Maybe in something neat like .50 Beowulf, .300 Blackout, or a Noreen Bad News .338 Lapua? Or maybe a Remington 700, in .300 Win Mag? Or maybe one of those 10-gauge lever guns that Winchester was making way back when? Or, the AF2011A1? The DOUBLEBARRELED 1911? My JMB-fanboyship shall be IRONCLAD!

I'm not sure if you reload, but if you've go a bunch of extra money laying around, reloading will cure you of that.

It would be a BBQ gun,,,

Cause honestly,,,
Since the last couple I purchased,,,
The list of guns I made a few years ago is filled.

Perhaps an engraved S&W Model 66,,,
Or an extremely ornate medium semi-auto.

It would definitely be a gun bought for looks and style.

A buddy of mine had his G21 engraved with all this gold-leaf BS. I'm saying to him, "Dude, really? You're gonna spend damn near a grand getting your GLOCK engraved?

Just seemed like such a waste. Especially since I heard this rumor ( and granted, it's just a rumor) that plastic-framed guns never really last more than about fifty years, cause when the gun fires, the frame flexes, and breaks down after a while. I'd really only engrave something that my descendants could look at and say, "That was great-great-grandpa Leon's gun."

MK14 mod 0 EBR.

If we're talking handguns, I own my choice... Walther PPQ.

Never tried an Ed Brown, though, for that kinda money, either they're stellar, or they're defunct. XD

Always wanted an H&K Mark 23. Light, laser, suppressor, the whole package. It'd make a damn good nightstand gun.

I'll play...

Something from Freedom Arms
S&W 340PD
S&W 1911PD or SC
S&W 586 L-Comp
S&W 629PC
S&W Model 60 Pro
HK P7
HK P30
Colt SAA
Colt Series 70
Ruger Vaquero Sherifs model
Some sort of black rifle

Those are just the few I lust over and in no particular order. None of them are unattainable, both in terms of cost and availability but I don't really need anything on the list. As for the rifle, I don't have very much experience with rifles so I'd probably just go with some kind of AR variant after a little research. If money was no object, that research would be done from my phone as my wife frantically raced to the gun store.

Continuing on this vicarious adventure, and to help the OP with his dilemma of course (!), in addition to my previous (Ed Brown 1911 SF Carry) "one gun" choice, everyone absolutely "needs" to have at least one Colt SAA or quality clone :). To my modest collection of these, with the OP's unlimited funds I would add USFA's
- "Pre War" (premium SAA)--make mine .44 Sp 5.5",
- Double Eagle 4" in same, and
- 4.75" .32-20/.327 convertible.
Also, essential would be a few custom Bowen (Clements, Harton. Gallagher etc) Ruger SA's, including a
- "Triple threat" (my term) .38-40/.40/.10mm convertible New Vaquero with Turnbull CCH, and other typical SA custom goodies, and a
- Shortie (3.75") "Sherrif" in the same .32_ convertible as the USFA above
..."just because."

Money no object? Easy for me.

Heirloom Precision. Give them a call and a check and have them go all out and build me something spectacular.

Category wishlist below:

AR15: KAC SR15E3 (DI) or LWRC M6IC (Piston) (own the SR15E3 and love it!) Tavor TAR-21

.308 Assault Rifle: SCAR-H! It is pretty bad as and light. Recoil was far better than expected! I really like this rifle a lot!

Shotgun for Defense: Benneli M4! (Have shot the Saiga, Blackwater Mossy and the M4...M4 is a huge step up in all departments!!!)

1911: Ed Brown! (Pick one...have shot Colts, S&W, Kims, Springs, and so on...are their better than Eddy...yes but I shot the Eddys lights out!...something about them!)

22lr pistol: Ruger MarkIII or Browning BuckMark

Shotgun for Clays and hunting: Benelli Vinci SuperSport (Own a A391 beretta and love the Benelli that much more...it is STELLAR) Oh and the browning maxus and A400 are nice too!

Shotgun Double barrel....list is too long!

Lever Action: Browning BLR...pick one in your favorite cal! Or a Winchester Model 94! Browning fit and finish and quality is so good it is hard to look elsewhere! The Browning BL-22 is the best 22lr I have shoot...not the top absolute top for accuracy but is still stellar in this department. It is one of the most fun lever actions you will ever own!!

Favorite non-1911 pistol: HK P30L by a LANDSLIDE! Ok...not a landslide but it has the best grip I have ever felt, love the mag release, love the extended slide release, trigger, stock sight are good, build quality, fit and finish...etc! Walther PPQ is the poor mans P30 (Have on and love it big time!!)...poor man yet has a better trigger, seems to actually be more accurate against the non-p30l version of the HK) and I like the extended mag release on the PPQ

My short list of current production fire arm I would like or already own!

If I didn't have to go through the class3 BS I'd say some type of M4 SBR (12" barrel), full auto with suppressor.

If I still have to go through that crap, then I 2nd the Colt Python. None of that fancy stuff though, just your basic blued revolver.
