Next 9mm, Sig 2022 vs SR9c?

That is one thing I will hand to the SR9, the grip. I haven't played with the 9c much, but the grip on the fullsize SR9 is just wonderful. If they made a version with no mag safety or manual safety I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I'm not a Ruger fan and swore for years I'd never own a striker fired handgun. I bought a SR9C last month though and think it is awesome. I also own four CZ's and one Sig and do not feel the Sig is better made. CZ also has great customer service.

this is one of the only times i would suggest a ruger over a sig. i don't like the sp2022 or the P250. i think they are both poor designs. ruger has pulled off a fantastic budget package in the sr9c.

I wouldn't call the SP2022 a poor design. 250k to the French and 121k to Colombia is pretty prolific for a pistol these days. I know sales don't always mean quality, I just found it to be pretty decent and I'm not aware of issues like the P250.

By the way, I was actually at Sig Academy when the Colombia National Police were there training. Apparently part of the deal that was brokered with SIG included training. They were there for 1-2 months straight. These were pretty hardcore guys (a lot have death marks on them) and they were running their SP2022s pretty hard.

I to am curious why the SP2022 is a poor design? Mine has ran flawlessly from high powered factory loads to reduced wadcutters. Its a different handling gun than the Ruger but the workmanship and the trigger are excellent.

I've owned 2 P250c's and never had a jamb or failure out of either one. I'm not sure why people slam that gun. To the OP, I don't think you will go wrong with either one

The P250 did have some documented issues in the earlier models. To my knowledge those have been remedied for some time and they are good pistols at typically a very affordable price.

get a sig sauer p226 in 9mm

get a sig sauer p226 in 9mm. the navy seals use that for one of their pistols. I used to own one. I put hogue grips on mine. i had to buy it used though because sig sauer classics are to high new for me.

I think the SP2022 is one of the best values in the handgun market. I think you would have a difficult time finding a gun capable of that level of accuracy and reliability in that price range. I'm also not aware of any design flaws.
