Newbie questions

Wow you guys made my 243 just sing. The most accurate rounds I ever shot out of it. Next I will take all of your advice and do the same for the 454 casull. Thank you thank you

You guys told me to buy a rock chucker, I am so glad I listened. Every single one comes out exactly the same amazing. I bought a ram primer for it and I love how it seats the primers, perfect every time.

When you work with the right equipment nothings hard . Glad everything's working out for you.

Just bought another rock chucker on eBay for 60 bucks. I going to use it as a dedicated ram primer setup. Awesome

Hey just bought some 165 grain hornady sst. I loading 55 grains of imr4350. Any better suggestions. Thanks again. Oh 30-06 load

For the first time reloading that load , it is at the top of the load scale. I would start mid range say 50.5 and work up .5 Is this load for hunting ? What type of action , bolt or semi.

30-06 load, weatherby

Bolt action hunting load, I can take it down. I was using my nosler book but it didn't have the sst but for other165 is had iimr4350 at 55 grains mid range so I better tame it down a bit?

You don't have to pull the 5 just don't load all with the same load ,you can work down from there 54.5
5 rounds , 54.0 5 rounds & so on. Check for hard bolt lifts on the 55.0 an flattened primers , that will let you know when your loads are to hot. What distance are your average hunts ? Hills or flat lands. You should be fine with 55.0 but for starting you could safely start a little lower & work up. Your groups will let you know what your rifle likes an shoots best.

Thanks Chris will do.. There is only one spot I hunt where I reach out 200 yards. Most are way way closer usually 50-60 yards

Whatever load shoots best is the one to use , if you were going long may look for the hotter load , at your ranges there's no need for speed. Mid ranges will do just fine.

Tried a number of different loads, holy cow the 55 grains were the sweet spot. All shot well but55 gave me sub moa . I am so excited about this new Hobby

It's nice to load your own , even nicer when your rounds work better then store bought. I've been reloading for 25+ years , l enjoy reloading just as much as shoot it. After your first go around ,it goes pretty as long as you don't try any short cuts . Keep up the good work.

In my neck of the woods its getting cold , I don't shoot outdoors under 50 degree's . Just loaded up some 45acp for indoor range. Now you'll be helping reloaders ,until the next time. Be Well , Chris
