New to me GP100

gunluver, is that Talo bead blasted? I guess I havent seen one or looked online enough but that is a snazzy looking finish.

anyway, welcome to the GP100 club! Heres a snap of my 4 inch stainless.

It is the first pistol I bought. I sold it because I had to have a RedHawk, then I bought it back for 75 less. Never will it leave my hands again.

I want to get a set of the wood insert grips for it. I think it would look pretty good. And if I dont like shooting with them on. Its an easy switch

Pvt. Pyle, yes it is a bead blasted finish. It's the Talo Wiley Clapp edition....bead blasted finish, 3 in barrel, novak cut rear sight and fiber optic front. It's quite the looker!

I really wished Ruger bring back the GP100 in 3 inch bbl.

They never quit making it. Ruger still lists a 3", SS, full-lug GP100 on their website in both the standard offering and the Wiley Clapp edition which has different sights and grips. Finding a shop that has a 3" GP100 in stock, however, can be something of a challenge.

My son and I both own one in stainless with 4 inch barrels. My son got his two weeks ago, I have had mind for 4 years or so. His has the full rubber Hogue grips where mine has the wood inserts. His trigger pull is alot better than mine so I guess a trip to the LGS for some work to improve it alittle more is in order.

I'm partial to my half lug GP100's. They mix well with my "Six Series" revolvers. The 4" gp is chambered in .38 Special. Both the blue and stanless 6" GP's are chambered in .357 Mag, The blue one is NIB(Unfired)and the stainless one is LNIB. All are pictured below:
