New to me GP100

I am doing my part to jump start the economy by picking up these lonesome old classics. Check out my GP100 which came with the box and papers. It is a 2002 model well cared for. It will go nicely with my recent Security Six.

Very sharp looking 4" GP100!:D It definately goes well with your nice Security-Six!:) I have three half lug GP100's-1 6" blue, one 6" blue, one 6" stainless, and one 4" stainless chambered in .38 Special.
 
Nice! I love the grips with the wood inset. When i picked up my plainjane, blued, 6" GP100, it came with the big squishy grips that are great for long afternoons of plinking away with cheapo .38 special from wally's or for blasting full power .357 mag loads for a while. A kind interweb associate sold me a set with the inset that he had taken off a previous revolver for some reason. I love that revolver. Everybody who shoots it wants one; most of my friends are into the polymer pistols and such tacticool crap.
 
I just aquired a 4" blued one myself. It came with a Hogue grip and fiber optic ft sight. 1st trip to range and I was in love. The gun fit my hand like it was made for it and pointed very naturally.

I am now saving for a TALO.
 
Arch, I wonder how you like the fiber optic front sight, cause that is a mod I am considering. Thanks.

I'm not Arch....but I like the fiber optic front sight on my Talo GP. Very quick target acquisition!

One of the next guns I buy will be a gp100. IMO it's one of the best looking 357s. I want the houge grip for shooting some heavy hitters.
 
ABSOLUTELY one of my all-time favorite revolvers! I have two, one still new in the box and unopened for my grandson someday. I'm always on the lookout for another for the wife... Yeah, I like'm a lot! :)
 
Very nice exactly what I've been looking for......when I found this

a S&W 66-7 357 mag. the last of the K Frame 357mags , but I still wish it as a GP100...But what the heck..

got2hav1-- I really like the fiber optic front sight. With my old eyes they really enhance the sight picture. I bought the gun used and found it shooting high at 25 yds. Had to adjust the stk rear sight all the way down. I think the optic sight is lower than stock but it hits fine now.

:confused: are my eyes bad or are those rust spots on the hammer area. :confused: I really wished Ruger bring back the GP100 in 3 inch bbl. I also wish Ruger make the GP in 44 mag. It would be nice.

Love my 6" SS GP .357! Originally thought I wouldn't keep those Hogue grips, but they felt so good in my hand. Damn, I love every GP I see!

9mm. There is something there in the picture. I hit the spots with Mothers mag polish and it cleaned right up. There is a tiny scratch on the top strap but other than that I can't find any other problems on it. Its really a nice one. :)
