New Shooters - trouble loading the magazine?

The last round is a real pain in my kimber solo. I find that to be the case with many subcompact single stacks. +1 on the Uplula.

push the back of the round in the magazine down with your left thumb and mash the new round in with your right thumb (right handers) you don't need a loader.

I can't count the number of times folks have seen me using my UpLula at the range, asked about it, tried it out, and left committed to purchasing one.

I have no problems loading magazines but I am from the era that worked with their hands. The problem is that to many people do not work at much of anything so they have become soft......

I concur. A lot of younger folks look like they never lifted anything heavier than a pillow or cheeseburger.

"You got city hands Mr. Hooper, been counting money all your life". :D

Lot's of macho around here for loading magazines bare handed.

Depends on the magazine. A 1911 magazine is easy enough. A Glock magazine? Not so much.

If I'm loading a lot of magazines at once, I often wrap one thumb with duct tape.

I've managed to cut my fingers several times on magazines with sharp edges.
A uplula eliminated that problem. They are definitely worth the expense. I just wish that they would produce one for the Ruger BX25 magazine.

It could be one of several things or a combination of them. They have all been talked about such as technique, hand/finger strength, and individual magazines.

My HK P-30 magazines take more pressure to load than say my Sig 226's. My PPQ's are fairly easy until the last round, which takes a lot of pressure. I don't seem to have any issues hand loading the magazines on any of my rifles, shotguns, or handguns. I do use an UpLULA and it makes loading way easier and faster. Try one, you'll likely end up with one.

Ordered an upLula last night. Wife has one heck of a time loading our Glock double stack mags, even with the supplied loader.
