Other than the fun-factor, you are not missing much. These are a hoot to shoot but really, mostly off the bench. I jumped on the wagon when these first came out, didn't really shoot it that much and six month later, traded it off. I am a 10/22 fan and this one no longer appeals to me. It's really just a matter of personal choice .....What can the Charger do that I can't do with my 10/22 and my 22/45? I know I'm missing something. What is it?
Might be a reason to wait a while before buying one. Maybe a bunch of calls, letters, and emails to Ruger could help make it happen?Should have gone with a black polymer stock.
Too big to shoot as a handgun (and nowhere near as handy), no butt stock to shoot like a rifle. Seems to me to be an ingenious solution to a nonexistent problem. I will not be rushing out to buy one anytime soon. What is the Charger good for?
Yes, I don't care much for the wood laminate/plastic AR grip hybrid stock. That's why I think an all synthetic stock would look much better.Huh. I thought the originals looked pretty clever, but the new version kind of looks like a hot mess or a Bubba job
