All I can tell you about a reloading bench is make it as long as you can, it you can go around the corner, then do it. You can never have to much space but to cheap out and make it to short isn't going to help you later on.
My reloading bench is 8' long and it's still to short for what I need. It's in the laundry room. I can't go around the corner because the washer and dryer are there.
My reloading over flow goes to the 8' work bench in the garage that I use for my cabinet and furniture work. My reloading bench is over cabinets and has one row of drawers on the top only. The underside under the drawers completely open for what I want to put under there.
It works for me.
