New Neos . . . falling apart . . .

Neos is back . . .

My Neos is back from repair work at Beretta. Turn around time was about nine days. Put 300 rounds through it today and it ran flawlessly. But then it ran flawlessly before it started falling apart too. I like the gun and so long as it doesn't start falling apart again I think it will be in the collection for a long time.

Neos

I've owned 3 Neos and still have one. All have been quite good overall. The bad point is the trigger. Because of the trigger they are quite difficult to shoot extremely accurately. I think the magazines are exceptionally good and quite easy to load. I find the ergo's are good too. The mag release is different and takes some getting used too. Mine have all been EXTREMELY reliable. I have fired several hundred rounds before a malfunction (bad round fail to fire). Overall, I like them for the price.

To be honest I have Rugers and Brownings also. My favorite is the Browning Heavy Barrel Target from long ago. The one that had the real Olympic Trigger and hand honed chambers and rifling. The new ones look similar but they are night and day different in performance. Amazingly accurate pistol with a trigger to die for. Great grips too. The pistol is simply amazing.

I owned a Neos for awhile a few years ago. It is a decent beginners .22 but that's about it. It doesn't come close to a Ruger MKIII or even a 22/45 and its orders of magnitude below a Browning Buckmark. It is what it is, an entry level .22.
