New mouse gun

My FIE Titan 25 is quite accurate to 7 yds, reliable and fun to shoot. And awfully loud for such a little guy...the noise alone would scare off a bad guy!!!

HisSoldier, what weight bullet are you using to get that 1,000 fps? a 50gr. at that speed leaves the .22lr in the dust from a mini auto.

Here is some advice on the Beretta 950 that my gunsmith gave me. He said that it was sufficient to clean the barrel and the face of the breech without removing the slide. He said that removal of the slide can easily result in breaking the tiny springs on the frame.

I have been doing this since I got my pistol some months ago and this procedure seems to be sufficient.

New Mouse Gun

I have had a .25acp pistol in the past. I sold it when I found out how poorly the round performs. I prefer my Walther TPH in .22lr, or the PPK in .380.

Hmm, at something around 30-50 ft, a 25 acp will be stopped by a good leather jacket. Never heard of that from a. 22.

Anything to substantiate that? No, the .25 isn't the best round available but it's better than throwing rocks! I used to carry a Beretta 950 in unfriendly places when it was absolutely verboten to carry concealed here because of its small size. Still have it.

The problem with the tip up barreled Berettas and the Tauri that copy them is their lack of an extractor. This means rap and rack drills won't work with them.
To clear the pistol you must pop up the barrel and hope the bad round flies out, which is unlikely with a dirty chamber.
Since this pistol serves no good purpose other than a defensive arm this drawback voids any reliable and useful purpose, regardless of how well it's built.

The lack of an extractor on the Berettas has been talked about a lot in the last few years.
In reality, it doesn't seem to have been an issue in the past 50 years. I have never heard of a self defense issue having to do with extraction with the little Berettas.

I really doubt a leather jacket will stop a .25 fired from a quality gun. 30-50 feet is really not SD range anyway.

Sid, I have owned both the Minx and the Jetfire 950's, and never feared taking the slide off to clean them. Never heard of any springs breaking.
There are specific areas to give a light lube to for best performance.

Kind of amusing how some internet bull stories just keep getting circulated. :)

35 grain HP and bullseye. I do have it written down but not sure where now, I do know the chrono speed is written in a notebook in the chronograph. No signs of pressure, and I hesitate to even say anything, but it seemed to me that with a lighter bullet and B'eye it shouldn't be hard to exceed standard USA ballistics. I don't want to start people loading blowback gun cases hot. If I were to carry a .25 it would be the Astra Cub loaded with these.

Also, for the record, I altered a shell plate for my RCBS Pro2000 proggressive press as there were no plates available for a 25 ACP. Even so it is difficult to load these in a progressive press.

The 950 BS is my favorite mouse gun. I've owned six or so and I only had one failure. I had to have the recoil spring replaced on one I bought used. YMMV. tom. :D

I shot my Bobcat at steel filing cabinet, in, out the back and thru 2 old paintings and the drywall. Now you wear that leather jacket with confidence young man.:D

I was going to say I'll buy the jacket .If he would model it .While we test his theory

People need to realize the 25 auto isn't a power house But has good penetration if using ball ammo. In other words it is dangerous to be on the receiving end . Even at 50'.

I have 2 of the 950 A never fired Italian no thumb safety model and a USA with the thumb safety.

A model 20 is the next best thing as its DA/SA and still the 950 size. Not like the over sized thick model 21's
