New Hi-Powers? What happened??

I paid $400 for a new MkIII HP several years ago, before the supply dried up. My local dealer has one again, for $650. A bit high :( imo... though I don't know what his cost is. Are dealers trying to capitalize on the recent shortage?

WoW!

I guess I got lucky, I just picked up a Mk III from my dealer that I won at auction.

It is serialed with an NY code (1992) and came in the hard case with two factory 13 round mags.

There isn't a mark on it and I paid $405 for the winning bid plus $20 shipping.

The Browning USA site shows the basic epoxy-finished MkIII with an MSRP of $662. The Practical is $717 IIRC. John

9x19,
You did great! What a buy. I have an El Capitan III but want one just like yours. You can never have too many guns!

Wild Romanian,

From what I read on the official Web site the HP/DA is supposed to have a Steel frame ( probly cast), not aluminum?

Any how I want one, "the rifleman" gave a good write up andthey were supposed to be accutate in condition one (hammer back and cocked)...DA is usualy for up close work any how. I agree with most of what you say, Have you actualy seen one with aluminum frame? A diffrent model perhaps, or a variation on this one?
