New hand & spring for pietta '51

All of my guns have the Pettifogger conversion(spring and plunger).

J Bar has a spring replacement that he does by drilling into the hand at the old spring crimp site and staking a piece of music wire to replace the old flat spring. Works for him.

I broke a spring in the 1860 after about 40 shots, got a new one from VTI and had a smith put it in for me (for 65 bucks!) but it has worked flawlessly for about 400 shots now. (Still haven't gotten the courage up to take it apart and start filing/drilling on things myself)

Installing a spring is no biggie except you have to make a spring. If you buy a hand it has the spring installed but the hand has to be fitted. Also not a biggie if you go slow and take your time.
