New Gray Glocks Are Out

haha, good one, TR.

Oh yeah. We made it to the range on lunch for a bit. Put 100 rounds through the gun. No BTF issues, no failures, nice and accurate. Out shot my coworkers - though that's not surprising. I shoot more frequently than they do. Competition was a USP 9(formerly mine), a Glock 21 Gen3, a Glock 19 Gen4, a Glock 26, and a nice Ruger Mk II. The Ruger was the closest competition, but that's to be expected.

It's not a waste of time for the manufacturer. It's a waste of time for these guys who send their guns of to duracoat them.

I just think they look goofy. If you're into that than you should go for it.

And no, I didn't call the cops on the girl. She looked very young but a closer look of her face and you can see she was early twenties. She didn't buy the gun at Walmart. She was just shopping as I was. The cheap holster looked unsafe.

I don't see what the problem is. I personally am not a fan of bright colored guns, but it's not because there is anything wrong with them. You go to a car dealership and get the vehicle you need, be it a sports car or a minivan or flat-bed farm truck. Once you pick out the model, is there something wrong with buying the one in the color you like the most? Clothes exist to cover your junk and keep you warm, does buying clothing that appeals to you aesthetically somehow insult your sensibilities?

I don't dislike it, but that rock in the background looked a whole lot better when you had the HK 45 on it. Just sayin. :D

Nice looking Glock Uncle! I just bought a new Glock 26 a while back; impulse buy at the time, hadn't had a Glock for several years, the G26 fits my paw like Gaston designed it for me, so when I held pistol; had to have it. Mine has the Flat Dark Earth frame, which really didn't mean a lot one way or the other at time of purcahse; it's OK I guess :)

That gray frame does look pretty cool, enjoy! :)

haha! Well, my HK 45 is actually for sale if you're interested. ;) It's posted over on on HKPRO. $850 shipped. Includes Trijicon HD's, Light LEM, and IWB holster.

To me Gray looks a lot better than the green and barf brown stuff I see from time to time. That being said I'm sure they will be banned, Southern soldier boys wore gray............................ Just sayin................

Was at the LGS yesterday, a guy was buying a gray framed Glock 17 and they also had a Glock 19, I like these a lot more than the FDE Glocks.

The color of a gun is definitely a fashion statement for many women, even if it's concealed and no one can see it. After all, women seem to buy all sorts of colored lingerie. Judging by the recent popularity of FDE and OD guns, men are into colorful choices, too, albeit mostly earth tones.

Looks good Uncle. I've got a few OD green Glocks, winch I think are actually closer to a FDE color but they are in fact OD green as it is stated on the factory boxes. I like the two tone look, and it is a fairly effective form of camouflage when paired with a holster of some natural looking color (not black) I have to ask though... why did you go with the grey? Did you just like the color combo, or do you spend a lot of time on Navy ships?:D

All the mods and options you are choosing for the gun sound pretty solid. I'm sure you'll be happy with it!

Congratulations :)

Haha, thanks guys. I stopped by Glockmeister again this morning to have them install my new Heinie's. They had another Gen4 19 with an NP3 slide. I asked if I could swap it out temporarily just to see how it looks on the gray frame and man... it's really sweet.

I think I'll be dropping by Robar next week to have the slide done in NP3. I love that they're local. Good guys. Will suck being without the new gun for a few weeks but my P320 C does a good job of keeping me occupied. Plus my new Apex flat trigger for the 320 should be here this week too... so I'll give that some testing anyways.

One thing I liked about my newly acquired G19 gen4 is the beavertail kit.
It was a tight fit and required care and extra squeezing to align the pin holes, and now in hand, I think it's a nice option since I have chubby hands. I've seen others with slide-bite at the range so it tells me someone at Glock is paying attention making an already decent pistol work a little better for some users. COB's appeal to many buyers (ColorsOtherthanBlack). So that too also addresses the interest of more buyers. To me a Glock is certainly not an attractive piece. It's just hardware or only a tool for me since I don't collect firearms and no longer compete.
