Hi folks, I'm new here. I am just getting into shot guns. I have a 12 ga single break-action shot gun. I just love this gun. I plan on getting more shotguns soon. Just wanted to say HI. Hope there are more gals like me out there.

My 17 year old daughter likes the .22 but is too chicken to move up to either the shot gun or .30-30.:D
What part of the country are you in?

Hi hogdogs, I'm in MO. I know the .22s don't kick any, give her time. Maybe get some real low recoil shot shells and she will shoot them. Maybe get her a .410 shot gun. A lot of people can shoot pretty good with .22s.
 
welcome Kimmy, you'll get to konw Huntergirl and Shortie before too long, both very nice ladies and knowledgeable to boot. I hope you like the Line.
 
Welcome - I'm starting 2 of my older granddaughters into some Skeet and Trap shooting this Fall ( they're coming up on 14 years old ) - and I'll start them out on a 28ga O/U and a 20ga Benelli semi-auto.
 
skeet shooting is the best. you get to shoot moving targets. you get to rapid fire, and 12 ga shells and clay are cheap
its $6 for 25 rounds and $6 for a box of 90 clays.
so for $24 you can have an afternoon of fun

Just don't start off with the following:
Which is best, 870 or 500
Best load for home defense, boid shot or buck shot (like ugh, DUH)
Best load for GRIZZLYS, buck shot or slugs (like ugh, DUH)
And we'll ALL get along great *LOL*

Greyson97, I see that at wal-mart. I thought about getting some of those orange and black clay disc things. How the heck do you throw them things?

Yes he means Mossberg 500 v Remington 870. If you start a thread with those topics he listed people loose their minds and you have to duck behind your flame shield.
 
Thanks VA9mm, Heh! Heh! I'll have to check out those clay throwing machines. I did see some at wal-mart but one person shoots the clay thing and the other person will shoot them. I just have to have one of my girl friends shoot the clay thing out so I can shoot them with my shot gun. All my girl friends are scared of shot guns. :p
