I got the itch again, but don,t really know what I want. Help me decide.
Here,s what I got.

17hmr Savage 93
22 Savage Cub
22 Winchester 290
22 H&R 999 [revolver]
223 Savage 12
243 Marlin XS7
270 Mossberg ATR
270 TC Venture
7mm Remington SPS
30-06 Savage 116
300win mag Howa 1500
454 Puma[Rossi]
12ga Remington 870

More aiming for a different caliber,but a repeat is OK.New bolt in a 22-250?No wait,maybe 338? Wait a minute,maybe the new Rossi Circuit Judge 44mag?I,m not a big fan of AR,s,but maybe I need one?How about a new Marlin 45-70 or 30-30?No I think I need another handgun,9mm,40s&w or 45acp?
Maybe a Ruger One?
This has been going on since the beginning of summer. I value the opinions of this forum greatly. So help me decide.

I just sold my M1A....It was a Super Match and it weighed 14 lbs. I purchased another AR-15.

My vote would be for an AR-15

Here's what' s missing
- 30-30 lever action (pre-'64 Winchester model 94)
- Remington 1100 Special Field (or some other good semi-auto shotgun)

A good rifle in .308 and a semi auto 12 ga shotgun :D

Get a .308, because well, it's a good all around caliber. :)

Get a semi auto shotgun, because, well you'll notice the difference once you shoot it. ;)

Every good Red Blooded American needs at least one M1 Garand.

CMP Garands @ $495 is hard to beat.

Don't discount the field grades, they shoot and come with history.

I think you need a good medium bore. Look for a 35 Whelen Remington pump or a 358 Winchester in a Browning BLR. Both great still hunting weapons.

You need a wife, to tell you not to spend the money.

If that doesn't work, then get a Marlin 336C in 35 Remington.

One of these:

Your list cries out for a R-U-G-E-R...Try the new Mini-14 Factory Tactical...darn accurate right out of the box...;)

added the .45

IMhO you need a new plinkin' .22 handgun - just for fun.

Ruger Mark whatever pistol or
Browning Buck Mark or
Ruger SP101 .22 double action revolver or
Go cowboy with the Ruger .22 Bearcat single action.

Hmmm that reminds me...gotta go check Buds and Gunbroker again.

P.S. Your list does cry out for a nice 1911 .45

From the list I would go Puma 454 but the Garand is missing and I would take that over anything on the list

MG42! Sorry... My builder side gets out sometimes...

Get a kar98, Like another person said your list is lacking in surplus firearms. The Mauser 98 is a proven design and a very fun and accurate rifle to shoot. And with 8mm still in the surplus market not a wallet breaker to shoot.

I'm mildly surprised to be saying this, but don't rule out the AR. In fact, seriously consider one. They don't really push my aesthetic buttons either--my instinctive tastes run more towards blue steel, walnut, and stick shifts--but the modularity and consequent versatility of the AR platform make it really attractive. Once you've gotten used to the basic operation of the thing, you can set it up for pretty much any kind of shooting except benchrest. (Admittedly, large game might also be verboten, depending on your state's regulations and your willingness to experiment with different caliber uppers).

Glaring omission: GI M1 Carbine. Also +1 on the .30-30 or possibly another pistol round carbine: .357 Rossi or Marlin to augment your 454.
