Hey all.
I am now the proud owner of a CZ 75b mil. I am more than happy with it already even though I haven't had a chance to fire it yet. The grips definitely have to go and I'd like to get a new set of sights.
Any recommendations for an innexpensive hip holster for the range?

Congratulations, I have one too. If you think you are happy now wait till you get to shoot it and see how good a gun it really is. Mark

Heh...Congratulations! Welcome to the wonderful world of CESKA ZBROJOVKA. I own a CZ75 Compact (my very first handgun). What shooters! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine (and here's a nice pic to go with that salutation).

Even with the crappy grips, it is a real sweet shooter. They are one of, if not , the best deal out there right now. As far as changing the sites out, I don't know to much about that. Have it heard it is a real bear to do. Mad Dog Labs is one place that does it, also offering other services for CZ as well as 1911 pistols. Right now I am considering having my CZ 75B Military hard chromed.

Hey, that lady sure aint wearing Levi's....grrrrrrrrrowl.......

Good luck with the new CZ. Let us know how it performs on the range. Sling Shot

Blarney is that you holding the CZ? If so please Email me as I wish to be your pen pal! If not please disregard this post. :D

CZ's are the best value going right now.

RE: The picture. Personally, I find CZ's ads to be in good taste. Pretty girls, interesting settings, fast cars.

You can replace those "Anatomical?" grips with the ones that come on the commercial CZ for $8 from CZ-USA. They also have checkered wood grips for around $55. As for sights, CZ-USA has adjustable sights available for it or if your looking for night sights, Trijicon or PT night sights are available.

Enjoy the CZ.. I DO!!! :D

The soft rubber grips available from CZ are great -- I use them on my CZ-85 Combat. And the Fobus paddle holster for the Beretta 92 is also recommended for the CZ-75B. I have one of those, too.

Most holsters that are designed for the 1911 will fit the CZ-75. I'd imagine Hi-Power holsters would also fit pretty well. Carl Bloss of www.makarov.com has Falco holsters that are specifically designed for the CZ-75, tend to be of high quality, and are inexpensive.

Just got back from shooting mine. I love this pistol!!

Note: The "flyer" was the result of a poor grip on that shot. A firm grip and good sight picture put the other rounds where they were supposed to go. This gun is definitely way more accurate than the shooter in my case. This group was shot at +/- 30 feet(10 yards).

The cz has been an excellent duty weapon for me. Hogue has a set of rubber finger groove grips as well as a set of wood panels in various types of wood. butler creek also offers rubber panels as well as pachmayer.

I would not wish to replace those anotomical grips with anything. Don't even want the black wrapper. Just send me the grips in the picture (Blarney's), I'll accept as is.

So now that I got your attention, does anyone have any great ideas for mods and holsters for the CZ75 Compact?

BTW, if there are any other folks out there who have the same gun I do (probably one other person in America), I found out that the Kadet modification fits the CZ75 Compact. For those of you who don't know what the Kadet is, check it out atcz-usa! It's a .22 adapter kit for the CZ75.

Pretty much the same things you would do to a full size CZ. Sights are the same, however the grips and mags are different. The full size 15 rounders will fit and function fine, but will hang out of the pistol.

If you plan to carry, get ya one of these from Blade-Tech:

Made out of Kydex, the Blade-Tech IWB holster adjusts for cant or straight drop, belt loops adjust for belt width, has tension screws to adjust how tight it holds the pistol and is very comfortable. Mine has been on my hip since it was retreived from the mail box today. (7 hours ago)

If you order one, be sure and tell them the exact model CZ you have as it makes a difference and they know the differences.

Join the rest of us CZ nuts over at The CZForum There are quite a few of us.. and yes there are quite a few Compact CZ's already in the USA.

You'll enjoy the hell out of your Kadet kit.. I do with mine!! :D

Don't take this the wrong way, Bandit, but I love you, I've been looking for almost a year for something like this!
