N n2299 Inactive Sep 22, 2001 #21 Para, The "Blued" finish on 226 does tend to wear easily. Sig has a "Nitron" finish, which basically looks the same as a blued one, that's a lot tougher.

N n2299 Inactive Sep 22, 2001 #22 Ooops... I forgot to mention in my last post that Nitron is only available on Stainless Steel slides. Sig changed to SS slides when they added .40 and .357 Sig to the 226 line.
