New 686 field test: EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED

sorry I'm tardy on the response

Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement guys, I really appreciat it. I'm still p***ed off but I've calmed down now and have decided to deal with it. I have brushed the face of the cylinder and forcing cone and also the ratchet and hand. Also checked the ejector rod and screws and cleaned under the extractor and double checked that the internal security lock was off. Problem still persists. I just got off the phone with S&W Customer Service and they guy on the other end was very helpful and apologized that I was having trouble with a brand new revolver but that they would be more than happy to pick up all shipping and handling costs and repair it free of charge of course. Hell, I guess you can't ask for more than that. When you get right down to it, ANYTHING man-made is subject to failure. If they fix my 686 to my satisfaction then I'm willing to forgive and forget. All except that damn internal security lock anyway! ha! Thanks again for all the help and encouragement guys. That's what makes this a great forum. Glad I stumbled upon it a while back. I'll let you guys know when the gun gets back to me and if the problem is resolved to my satisfaction. Fleiger
