Never seen or heard of this before.

Searching on-line sellers like Bud's Guns, and Gunbroaker it is apparent that the gap between the ejector rod, and small lug under the barrel is not a case of poor workmanship, or a poorly fitted replacement barrel. It looks like for some reason it is the design. Any M85 Buldog Vault package shows the gap.
I would be curious enough to contact Taurus for an explanation if I owned one.
