Never Forget

I'll refrain from posting any more unwarranted cynicism in this tread.
Yes, Polymer, you will.

Dragging in suspicion and reports from anything after 9/11/01, is a moot point, we are remembering the fallen. Not making a political statement.
This thread was started in remembrance of almost 3000 people that died that horrible day, and out of respect for those people, I can no longer sit back and watch it degrade into a political, tin foil hat debate.

You want to debate 9/11? Take it to another thread, but do not derail this one, whose sole purpose is to honor those Americans, both living and dead, that suffered the greatest of losses  .

no, you're just psychic

EMB...actually, you gleaned somehow or other that I grew up in Springfield, which I did :D No worries. There are days I can't remember my OWN name...

Polymer, thank you, I think....

Terror?

The people killed in the WTC were killed by people."Terrorists" is a label somebody pinned on them and now we're so paranoid if you fart in the airport you're a terrorist.
What we are forgetting is they were people. Where they were from started a big thing called "the war on terror" in their countries..and here.
In my opinion there is no terror except for the people in the WTC.They knew what terror really is.
All this crap about terrorist this and terrorist that makes me sick. It's nothing but profiling and it keeps the public afraid to go out their door.
Face the facts, people made those towers fall. Not a country.People that don't like us so they decided to take out our major trade centers to try and disrupt our economy and break us. It didn't work. But it did screw up most of the people.
Now every time something a little different happens,an airport gets shut down or a office evacuated. They got their message through to us. We're paranoid and that's what they wanted. We're stumbling over ourselves, changing laws and everyones in turmoil. That's what they wanted. We are falling right into their plans. Am I the only one who sees this?
The word terrorist makes people jumpy and the media uses it a lot to keep us that way, and trying to make Bush a hero which he definitely is not..

I held a silent moment for the unfortunate people at WTC and went on about my buisness. I am not worried about a "terrorist" attack and I'll be darned if I'm going to run around armed all the time like a tacti-nut.
They did what they wanted to do,scare America and make them run around like ants. I am just sad so many had to lose their life in the plan.
And a screwy mayor of NY who was about as low as he could go is now a hero and may be in major govt. office soon if it goes his way.Now that's terror!!!

Sept.11,2006 Bless all of you who lost your life without a choice.

NEVER NEVER FORGET!

This is important. It is one heck of a lot more important then what gun you choose for concealed carry or whether a 22LR is big enough for home defense.

I won't forget the police officers and firefighters and anyone else who were running into the buildings to save people. I remember the heroes of that day. Many innocent people died that day, but the ones I will honor are the ones who died trying to save people's lives. It's terrible that everyone were lost that day, and I'll be damned if I'm not unhappy with this government not actually catching Osama Bin Laden, the "Mastermind". Bush himself has said on several occasions that he's not all that concerned with Bin Laden anymore and does not view him as a threat. That definitely makes me unhappy. So yes, I have hung my American flag out ever 9/11 as well as every Veterans Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, etc. But driving down the street past many houses, the streets used to be lined with American Flags and such, now there are few. It seems as though America has pretty much forgotten about Osama and Al-Qaeda <spelling?> in the wake of Iraq. I could be wrong, and I'm sure most Americans would defend themselves saying, "No No, I haven't forgotten!" But back to the originial point, I'll never forget the fallen heroes of Sept. 11, 2001. -BamaXD
