I know this is rifles not hand guns like the OP but seems to fit the subject hope its ok. When I was a lot younger I worked in a ford dealership in the repair shop, seemed like every year during deer season we would get a pickup truck in for repair that was damaged by a rifle going off in the cab. It usually did quite a bit of damage to the truck most hit high up on the floor board penetrating through the cab and hitting either the rear of the engine or the front of the transmission. I always wondered how much hearing damage that must have done being in such a small enclosed area and the large calibers involved and the fact that most likely all the windows were rolled up at the time
